At that time, the disciples came forward and asked Jesus, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”.

Jesus called a child and made him stand among them,

I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

So whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in heaven.

Whoever receives a child like this in my name is the one who receives me.

It would be better for anyone who causes this little one who believes in me to fall, to tie a large millstone around his neck and sink into the deep sea.

Woe to this world, because it trips people down. The thing that trips people is inevitable, but the thing that trips people is unfortunate.

If one hand or one foot causes you to fall, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life without one hand or one foot than to have two hands and two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.

If one eye causes you to fall, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes thrown into the fire of hell.

Be careful not to underestimate one of these kids. I tell you, their messengers in heaven often see the face of my Heavenly Father. (There are ancient scrolls here)

The Son of Man came to save the lost

If a person has a hundred sheep and one gets lost, what do you mean. Doesn’t he leave these ninety-nine and go to the mountains to find the lost sheep?

If he finds it, I tell you the truth, he rejoices more for this one sheep than for the ninety-nine that are not lost.

Your Father in heaven is also unwilling to let any of these little ones be lost.

If your brother offends you, go and point out his mistake while only he is with you. If he listens to you, you will have your brothers.

If he doesn’t listen, you can bring one or two other people with you, and witness every word with the testimony of two or three people.

If you don’t listen to them, tell the church. If you don’t listen to the church, look at him like a foreigner and a tax collector.

I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will also be bound in heaven. Whatever you release on earth will also be released in heaven.

I also tell you that if two of you on earth agree with one heart to ask for anything, my Father in heaven will do it for them.

Because wherever two or three people gather in my name, I am among them.

At that time Peter came forward and said to Jesus, Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother who has sinned against me? Is it okay to go seven times?

Jesus said, I say to you, not until seven times, but until seventy times seven times.

The kingdom of heaven is like a king who wants to settle accounts with his servants.

At the beginning of the calculation, someone brought a person who owed 10 million silver.

Because he had nothing to repay, the master ordered that he, his wife, children, and everything he had be sold for repayment.

The servant then fell down and worshipped him, saying, Lord, be tolerant of me, and I will pay it back in the future.

The master of the servant showed mercy and released him, exempting him from his debts.

The servant came out and met one of his companions who owed him ten taels of silver. He grabbed him and choked his throat, saying, “Give me what you owe me.”.

His companions fell down and begged him, saying, “Be tolerant of me, and I will repay you in the future.”.

He refused and went to put him in prison, waiting for him to pay off his debts.

When his companions saw what he had done, they were deeply saddened and went to tell their master about it.

So the master called him and said to him, You wicked servant, beg me, and I will forgive you all that you owe.

Shouldn’t you pity your companions like I pity you?

The master was furious and handed him over to the executioner, waiting for him to pay off the debt he owed.

If each of you does not forgive your brothers from your heart, then my Heavenly Father will do the same to you.
