At that time, Jesus spoke to the crowd and his disciples,

Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the throne of Moses.

Observe and do everything they command you. But don’t imitate their behavior. Because they can say it’s not possible.

They tied up difficult burdens and placed them on people’s shoulders. But he refused to move a single finger.

Everything they do is to be seen. So I made the scriptures I wore wider and the tassels of my clothes longer.

I love the head seat at banquets and the high position in the hall.

He also likes his lover to greet him in the market and call him Rabbi. (Rabbi is the master)

But don’t be called by rabbis. Because only one is your master. You are all brothers.

Do not call people on the ground your father. Because only one is your Father, who is in heaven.

Don’t be called by your master either. Because there is only one of your masters, who is Christ.

Whoever is greater among you will be your servant.

Anyone who is arrogant will be demoted to inferiority, and those who are insecure will be elevated to greatness.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you have just closed the door of heaven in front of others. If you don’t go in yourself, you won’t let anyone who is about to go in either. (There are ancient scrolls here)

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good, because you embezzle widows’ property and pretend to pray for a long time, so you will receive even greater punishment

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you have traveled all over the ocean, sea, and land, seducing someone into teaching. Having entered the church, yet making him the son of hell, even more so than you.

Woe to you blind guides. You say, anyone who swears by the temple is nothing. But whoever swears by the gold in the temple shall keep it.

You ignorant and blind people, what is big? Is it gold? Or is it called the Hall of Gold Becoming Holy?

And you say, Whoever swears by the altar is nothing. But whoever swears by the gift on the altar shall keep it.

You blind people, what is big? Is it a gift? Or is it called the altar of gift sanctification?

So when a person swears by the altar, they swear by the altar and everything on it.

When a person swears by the temple, they swear by the temple and those who live in it.

A person swears by heaven, that is, by the throne of God and by those who sit on it.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you offer one tenth of mint, fennel, and celery. The more important things in the law, which are righteousness, mercy, and faithfulness, are no longer possible. This is even more important for your profession; That’s also unavoidable.

You blind guides, filter out the midges and swallow the camels.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you clean the outside of the cup and plate, but inside it is filled with extortion and debauchery.

You blind Pharisee, first wash the inside of the cup and plate, so that the outside is also clean.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you are like painted graves, beautiful on the outside, but filled with the bones of the dead and all the filth inside.

You are also like this, appearing righteous outside in front of others, but filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness inside.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees who pretend to be good. Because you have built tombs for prophets and decorated tombs for righteous people, saying,

If we were in the time of our ancestors, we would not have shed the blood of prophets with them.

This is your own proof that you are the descendants of those who killed the prophets.

Go and fill your ancestors with evil deeds.

How can you snakes, the seeds of venomous snakes, escape the punishment of hell?

So I have sent prophets, wise men, and scribes to you. Some of you will kill and be crucified. Some of you will be whipped in the synagogue, chasing from one city to another.

Let all the blood of the righteous shed in the world come upon you. From the blood of Abel the righteous until the blood of Zechariah, the son of Barakah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.

I tell you the truth, all these sins will come to this generation.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you often kill prophets and stone those who are sent to you. I have been willing to gather your children many times, like a hen gathering chicks under its wings, but you are unwilling.

See, your home has become a wasteland, left for you.

I tell you that from now on, you shall not see me again until you say, Blessed be he who comes in the name of the Lord.
