Matthew Gospel_Chapter 11

After giving orders to the twelve disciples, Jesus left and went to various cities to preach and teach.

When John heard what Christ had done in prison, he sent two disciples away,

Ask him, is it you who will be coming? Or are we waiting for others?

Jesus replied, “Go and tell John what you have heard and seen.”.

The blind see, the lame walk, the leper grows clean, and the deaf hear. The resurrection of the dead brings the gospel to the poor.

Blessed are those who do not fall because of me.

As they were leaving, Jesus spoke to the crowd about John and said, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see?”? Do you want to see the reeds swayed by the wind?

What are you going out to see? Do you want to see people wearing soft clothes? The person wearing soft clothes is in the palace.

Why are you going out? Are you looking at the prophets? I tell you, yes, he is much more than a prophet.

It is written in the scripture that I will send my messengers before you to prepare the way. What is being said is this person.

I tell you the truth, there is not a woman born to her who is more prosperous than John the Baptist. However, the smallest one in heaven is even bigger than him.

From the time of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been entered with effort, and those who work hard have received it.

Because the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

If you are willing to receive it, this person is Elijah who should come.

If you have ears to listen to, you should listen.

What can I compare to this generation? It’s like a child sitting in the street market, greeting their companions and saying,

We play the flute to you, you don’t dance. We mourn to you, you do not mourn.

John came, neither eating nor drinking, and people said he was possessed by a demon.

The Son of Man has come, eating and drinking, and people say he is a glutton and a good drinker, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But the son of wisdom always regards wisdom as right. (There are ancient scrolls, but wisdom is manifested in actions)

Jesus performed many miracles among the cities, and the people of those cities did not repent. He rebuked them at that time, saying,

Woe to you, O Galazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done among you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have already repented in linen and ashes.

But I tell you, on the day of judgment, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

Capernaum, you have ascended to heaven. Will you ascend to heaven? You will fall to the underworld in the future. For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Sodom, they would have continued to this day.

But I tell you, on the day of judgment, it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for you.

At that time, Jesus said, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I thank you, because you have hidden these things from those who are wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.

Father, yes, because such is your beauty.

Everything was delivered to me by my father. Except for the father, no one knows about the son. No one knows the Father except for what the Son and Son are willing to instruct.

Come to me, all those who labor and bear heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

I am gentle and humble in my heart. Take my yoke on you and learn from me, so that you will find rest in your hearts.

Because my yoke is easy, my burden is light.
