In the morning, the chief priests and the elders of the people conspired to put Jesus to death.

Just tie him up and hand him over to the governor Pilate.

At this moment, Judas, who had betrayed Jesus, saw that Jesus had already been condemned and regretted it. He brought back the thirty dollars and said to the chief priests and elders,

I am guilty of selling the blood of an innocent person. They said, what does that have to do with us? Take responsibility for it yourself.

Judah threw the silver coin into the temple and went out to hang it.

The chief priest picked up the silver coins and said, “This is the price of blood and cannot be put in the treasury.”.

They discussed and used the silver money to buy a piece of land from the kiln owner, in order to bury outsiders.

So that field is still called the Blood Field to this day.

This fulfilled the words of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, With the thirty pieces of money, they have estimated the value of the man to be valued, which was estimated among the Israelites,

I bought a piece of land from a kiln owner. This is as the Lord has commanded me.

Jesus stood before the governor, who asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”? Jesus said, You are right.

When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he didn’t answer anything.

Pilate said to him, Have you not heard so many things that they bear witness against you?

Jesus still did not answer, not even saying a word, so that the governor was greatly surprised.

The governor has a common practice of releasing a prisoner to them during this festival, as requested by the people.

At that time, there was a famous prisoner named Barabba.

When the crowd gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Which one do you want me to release to you?”? Is it Barabba? Is it Jesus called Christ?

The governor knew that they had released him out of jealousy.

While sitting in court, his wife sent someone to say that you have no control over this righteous person’s affairs. Because in my dream today, I suffered a lot for him.

The chief priests and elders incited the crowd to seek the release of Barabbas and the destruction of Jesus.

The governor said to the crowd, “Which of these two people do you want me to release to you?”? They said, Barabba.

Pilate said, What shall I do to Jesus, who is called Christ? They all said, crucify him.

The governor said, why? What evil did he do? They shouted vigorously, saying, crucify him.

When Pilate saw that it was of no use but to cause trouble, he took water and washed his hands in front of everyone, saying, “I am not the one who shed the blood of this righteous man. Take responsibility for it.”.

Everyone answered, “His blood is on us and our descendants.”.

So Pilate released Barabbas to them, whipped Jesus, and handed him over to be crucified.

The soldiers of the governor brought Jesus into the yamen and gathered the entire army around him.

They undressed him and put on a vermilion robe.

Weave a crown of thorns and put it on his head. Take a reed and put it in his right hand. Kneeling before him and teasing him, he said, Congratulations to the King of the Jews.

He spat on his face again and hit him on the head with a reed.

After teasing him, he took off his robe and put on his own clothes. He took him out to be crucified.

When they came out, they met a man from Cyrene named Simon, and forced him to go with them to carry the cross of Jesus.

I arrived at a place called Golgotha, which means the place of the skull.

The soldiers took wine mixed with bitter bile and gave it to Jesus to drink. He tasted it but refused to drink it.

And when they had nailed him to the cross, they divided his clothes by lot.

Sitting there guarding him again.

Above his head, place a sign with his charges written, saying, This is Jesus the King of the Jews.

At that time, there were two robbers who were crucified with him, one on the right and the other on the left.

Those who passed by mocked him and shook their heads, saying,

You who demolished the temple and built it again in three days, can you save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

The chief priests, scribes, and elders also mocked him in this way, saying,

He saved someone else, he can’t save himself. He is the king of Israel, and now he can come down from the cross, so we believe in him.

He trusts in God, and if God pleases him, he can save him now. Because he once said, I am the son of God.

The bandit who was nailed to him also mocked him in the same way.

From noon until early morning, darkness fell throughout the land.

Around the ninth hour, Jesus shouted with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, Ramasabah, and Dani?”? That is to say, my God, why has he abandoned me?

Some of the people standing there heard it and said, “This person is calling Elijah.”.

There was a person inside who quickly ran over and dipped sea wool in vinegar, tied it to a reed, and gave it to him to drink.

The others said, “Let’s wait and see if Elijah will come to save him.”.

Jesus shouted loudly again, and his breath stopped.

Suddenly, the curtain in the temple split in half from top to bottom. The ground also shakes. The rock also crumbled.

The tomb has also been opened. The bodies of sleeping saints are often awakened.

After Jesus was resurrected, they came out of the tomb and entered the holy city, appearing to many people.

The centurion and those who were watching over Jesus were extremely afraid when they saw the earthquake and what they had experienced, saying, Truly, this is the Son of God.

There are many women watching from a distance. They followed Jesus from Galilee to serve him.

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the two sons of Zebedee.

In the evening, there was a wealthy man named Joseph from Arimathea. He is also a disciple of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate and begged for the body of Jesus. Pilate ordered it to be given to him.

Joseph took his body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

Placed in his new tomb, which he chiseled into the rock. He rolled the big stone to the entrance of the tomb again and went there.

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there, facing the grave.

The next day, on the second day of the preparation day, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together and came to Pilate, saying,

Sir, we remember when the seducer was still alive, he said, “I will be resurrected in three days.”.

Therefore, please instruct people to guard the tomb properly until the third day. Lest his disciples come and steal him, he told the people, saying, He has risen from the dead. In this way, the confusion that followed became even more severe than before.

Pilate said, “You have guards.”. Go ahead and do your best to guard properly.

They went with the guards, sealed the stones, and secured the tomb.
