At that time, Jesus passed through the wheat fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and picked up ears of wheat to eat.

The Pharisees saw it and said to Jesus, “See, your disciples are doing things that are not allowed to do on the Sabbath.”.

Jesus said to them, Have you not read what David and his followers did when they were hungry?

How did he enter the temple of God and eat the shewbread? This bread is not something he and his followers can eat, but only the priests can eat.

Furthermore, as recorded in the law, on the Sabbath day, the priests in the temple committed the Sabbath and still did not sin. Have you not read this?

But I tell you, there is one person here who is bigger than the temple.

I love compassion, not sacrifice. If you understand the meaning of these words, you will not consider the innocent as guilty.

Because the Son of Man is the Lord of the Sabbath.

Jesus left the place and entered a synagogue.

There is a person there who has withered one hand. Someone asked Jesus, “Is it okay to heal on the Sabbath?”. The meaning is to accuse him.

Jesus said to them, Which of you has a sheep that falls into a pit on the Sabbath and is not caught and pulled up?

How valuable are humans compared to sheep. So doing good deeds on the Sabbath is acceptable.

So he said to the person, “Stretch out your hand.”. He extended his hand and it returned to its original state, just like that hand.

The Pharisees went out and discussed how to destroy Jesus.

When Jesus found out, he left there and many people followed him. He healed all those who were sick among them.

And he instructed them not to give him a name.

This is to fulfill the words of the prophet Isaiah, saying,

See, my servant, whom I have chosen, loved, and pleased in my heart, I will give him my spirit, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

He is not competitive or noisy. No one on the street heard his voice either.

He won’t break the crushed reed. He will not blow out the remaining lights. Wait for him to implement justice, let justice prevail.

All foreigners will look up to his name.

Someone brought a demon possessed, blind and mute person to Jesus. Jesus healed him, so that the mute man could speak and see.

Everyone was amazed and said, “Aren’t these the descendants of David?”?

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man drives out demons only by the demon king Beelzebul.

Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself becomes a desolation, and every city and house divided against themselves cannot stand.

If Satan drives him away, he will be divided against himself. How can his kingdom stand?

If I drive out demons by Beelzebul, who will your children drive out demons by? In this way, they will determine your right and wrong.

If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

How can a person enter a strong man’s house and snatch his furniture? Unless we first tie up that brave warrior, we can seize his wealth.

Those who do not match me are enemies, and those who do not gather with me are dispersed.

So I tell you, all human sins and blasphemy shall be forgiven. Only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.

Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can still be pardoned. Those who speak against the Holy Spirit alone shall not be forgiven in this life or in the next.

You may think that the tree is good and the fruit is also good. The tree is bad, and the fruit is also bad. Because by looking at the fruit, one can know the tree.

How can you speak good words, as you are wicked, the species of venomous snakes? Because the heart is full, speak it out.

A good person emits good from the good that is stored in his heart. The wicked man emits evil from the evil stored in his heart.

I tell you again that on the day of judgment, every idle word spoken by mortals will be revealed.

Because I will judge you as righteous by your words, and I will judge you as guilty by your words.

At that time, several scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, Master, we would like you to show us a miracle.

Jesus answered, “A wicked and promiscuous generation seeks to see miracles.”. Except for the miracle of the prophet Jonah, there was no miracle shown to them.

Jonah will be in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, and the Son of Man will be in the earth for three days and three nights.

At the time of judgment, the people of Nineveh shall rise up and condemn this generation, because they repented after hearing the preaching of Jonah. Look, there is a person here who is bigger than Jonah.

At the time of judgment, the queen of the south shall rise up and condemn this generation, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wise words of Solomon. Look, there is a person here who is bigger than Solomon.

The evil spirit has left the human body and is in a land without water. It comes and goes, seeking a place to rest, but cannot be found.

So he said, I want to go back to the house where I came out. When we arrived, we saw that it was empty inside, cleaned up, and decorated.

So he went and brought seven more evil spirits than himself, all of whom went in and lived there. The person’s future situation is even worse than before. This evil generation must also be like this.

While Jesus was still speaking to the crowd, he saw his mother and his brothers standing outside, wanting to speak to him.

Someone told him, ‘Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to talk to you.’.

But he answered the person, saying, Who is my mother. Who is my brother.

And he reached out his hand and pointed to his disciples, saying, See, my mother and my brothers.

Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, sisters and mother.
