圣经When King Herod was born, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Judea. A few PhDs came from the east to Jerusalem and said,
Where is the one who was born as the King of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and came to worship him.
When King Herod heard this, he felt uneasy in his heart. The people of Jerusalem are also uneasy.
And he called together the chief priests and the scribes of the people, and asked them, Where should Christ be born.
They replied, “In Bethlehem, Judea.”. Because a prophet remembers,
Bethlehem in Judah, you are not the least among the cities of Judah. For in the future there will be a king who will come out from you to feed me, the people of Israel.
Then Herod secretly summoned the wise men and asked when the star appeared.
Send them to Bethlehem and say, ‘Go and search carefully for that child.’. If you find it, come and report it so that I can go and worship him.
They heard the king’s words and went. The star seen in the east suddenly walked ahead of them, straight to the child’s place, and stopped above.
They saw the star and were overjoyed.
When he entered the house and saw the child and his mother Mary, he fell down and worshipped the child. He opened the treasure box and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
The doctor, because he was instructed by the Lord in his dream not to go back to see Herod, went back to his own place by another way.
After they went, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Get up, take the child with you and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I command you. Because Herod will search for the child to destroy him.
Joseph got up and took the child and his mother to Egypt at night.
Stay there until Herod dies. This is to fulfill the words spoken by the Lord through the prophets, saying, I have summoned my son from Egypt.
When Herod saw that he had been fooled by the Doctor, he was greatly angry. He sent messengers to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and all the surrounding areas, as he had carefully examined the Doctor, including those who were two years old or over.
This fulfilled the words of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
When Rama heard the sound of wailing and crying, it was Rachel who cried for her children and refused to be comforted because they were all gone.
After Herod’s death, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,
Get up and take the child and his mother to the land of Israel. Because the person who was responsible for the child’s life has already died.
Joseph got up and took the child and his mother to the land of Israel.
Because he heard that Archibald had succeeded his father Herod as the king of Judea, he was afraid to go there. In a dream, he was instructed by the Lord and went into the territory of Galilee.
When they arrived at a city called Nazareth, they stayed there. This is to fulfill the prophecy of the prophet, who will be called a Nazarene.
