All high priests are set up to offer gifts and sacrifices. So this high priest must also offer something.

If he is on earth, he shall not be a priest, for there are already priests who offer gifts according to the law.

The things they offer are in the form and image of the things in heaven, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, saying, Be careful, make all kinds of things according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.

Now the ministry that Jesus received is even more beautiful, just as he was a mediator of a more beautiful covenant. This agreement was originally made based on more beautiful promises.

If the first covenant is flawless, there is no place to seek a second covenant.

Therefore the Lord accuses his people, saying, The days are coming, and I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

Not like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. Because they do not persist in keeping my promise, and I do not pay attention to them. This is what the Lord said.

And the Lord said, This is the covenant I made with the house of Israel after those days. I will put my law in them and write it in their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people.

They do not need each person to teach their neighbors and brothers, saying, “Know the Lord.”. Because they will know me from the smallest to the largest.

I will forgive their injustice and no longer remember their sins.
