Hebrews_Chapter 3
Holy brothers who are also called by heaven, consider that the messenger we consider is Jesus, the high priest.
He is faithful to those who set him up, just as Moses was faithful to all the house of God.
He deserves more glory than Moses, just as those who build houses are more honored than houses.
Because houses must be built by people. But it is God who builds all things.
Moses, as a servant, was truly faithful in all the house of God, to prove the things that will be told in the future.
But Christ is the son who governs the house of God. If we persist in our admirable hopes and courage to the end, it is his home.
The Holy Spirit has said, If you hear his words today,
Do not harden your heart, as when provoking him to anger and testing him in the wilderness.
There, your ancestors tested me and explored me, and observed my works for forty years.
So I am weary of that generation, saying, Their hearts are often confused, yet they do not know my works.
I swore in my anger that they shall never enter my rest.
Brothers, be careful not to let anyone among you have a strong aversion towards unbelief and abandon the living God.
Take advantage of this day and persuade each other every day, so that no one among you may be deceived by sin and become hardened in their hearts.
If we persist in our true faith from the beginning until the end, we have a share in Christ.
The scripture says, If you listen to his words today, do not harden your hearts, as on the day when you provoke him to anger.
Who was it that made him angry when I heard his words at that time? Isn’t it the people who followed Moses out of Egypt?
For forty years, who is God weary of? Aren’t they the people whose criminal corpses are lying in the wilderness?
To whom did he swear not to let them enter his rest? Isn’t it to those who don’t believe?
It seems that they were unable to enter rest because of disbelief.
