Gospel of Luke_Chapter 16

Jesus said to his disciples again, “There is a steward of a wealthy man.”. Oth…

Jesus said to his disciples again, “There is a steward of a wealthy man.”. Others accused his master of wasting his property.

The master called him over and said to him, “What did I hear about you?”? Explain clearly what you are managing. Because you can no longer be my butler.

The butler said to himself, “My master has resigned from me and I don’t need to be the butler anymore. What will I do in the future?”? What about hoeing the land? Weak. Begging for food? Shyness.

I know how to arrange for someone to pick me up at their house after I don’t work as a butler.

So he called one by one those who owed his master debt and asked the first one, “How much do you owe my master?”.

He said, a hundred baskets of oil. The butler said, “Take your account and sit down quickly to write fifty pounds per basket.”.

Ask another person how much you owe. He said, a hundred stones of wheat. The butler said, write eighty on your account.

The master praised the unjust butler for his clever work. Because the son of this world is smarter in worldly affairs than the son of light.

I also tell you to make friends through that unjust money. When money is of no use, they can take you to eternal tents.

People are loyal to the smallest things, and also to the greatest things. Be unjust in the smallest things, and also in the greatest things.

If you are not loyal to unjust wealth, who will entrust you with the true wealth?

If you are not loyal to others, who will give you your own things?

One servant cannot serve two masters. It’s not about loving one thing or valuing one over another. You cannot serve both God and Mammon.

The Pharisees were greedy for money, and when they heard all these words, they mocked Jesus.

Jesus said to them, You are righteous in the presence of men. But God knows your hearts. Because what is esteemed by humans is detestable in the eyes of God.

The law and prophets, until John. From then on, the gospel of the kingdom of God spread, and everyone worked hard to enter.

It is easier for heaven and earth to be abolished than for the law to fail one by one.

Whoever divorces his wife and marries another is committing adultery. Whoever marries a divorced wife also commits adultery.

There was a wealthy man wearing a purple robe and fine linen clothes, indulging in luxurious banquets every day.

There was another beggar named Lazarus, who was covered in sores and placed at the door of a wealthy man,

We need to satisfy our hunger with the scraps that fall off the wealthy man’s table. And the dog came to lick his sores.

Later, the beggar died and was taken by the angel to be placed in Abraham’s arms. The wealthy man also died and was buried.

He suffered in the underworld, and lifted up his eyes to see Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his arms.

And he shouted, O my father Abraham, have mercy on me. Send Lazarus and dip his fingertips in some water to cool my tongue. Because I am in extreme pain in this flame.

Abraham said, Son, remember that you were blessed during your lifetime, and Lazarus also suffered. Now he is comforted here, but you are in pain.

Not only that, but there is also a deep abyss between us, so that it is impossible for people to pass from here to your side, and it is also impossible for them to pass from there to our side.

The rich man said, “My father, since this is the case, please send Lazarus to my father’s house.”.

Because I still have five brothers. He can testify to them, so that they don’t come to this painful place too.

Abraham said, ‘They have the words of Moses and prophets to listen to.’.

He said, My ancestor Abraham, it’s not true. If there is one who is resurrected from the dead and goes to them, they will surely repent.

Abraham said, If you do not listen to the words of Moses and the prophets, even if there is one who has been resurrected from the dead, they will not listen to persuasion.
