Gospel of Luke_Chapter 5

Jesus stood by the lake of Genesareth, and the crowd crowded him to hear the word of God.

He saw two boat bays by the lake. The fisherman left the ship and washed the net.

There was a boat belonging to Simon, and Jesus went up and asked him to push it aside. He left the shore a little and sat down, teaching the people from the boat.

After speaking, he said to Simon, “Drive the boat to the depth of the water and cast the net to catch fish.”.

Simon said, Master, we worked hard all night and didn’t hit anything. But according to your words, I will go offline.

They got off the net and caught many fish, almost causing the net to crack open.

He called on his companions on the ship to help. They came and filled two boats with fish, and even the boats were about to sink.

Simon Peter saw it and fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Lord, leave me, I am a sinner.

He and all those who were with him were surprised by the fish caught in this net.

His companions, the sons of Zebedee, Jacob and John, were also like this. Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid, from now on, you will have someone.”.

They brought two boats to the shore and left everything behind to follow Jesus.

Once Jesus was in a city, and someone was covered in leprosy. When he saw him, he fell to the ground and begged him, saying, “If the Lord is willing, he will be able to make me clean.”.

Jesus reached out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing, you have been cleansed.”. Marijuana immediately left him.

Jesus instructed him not to tell anyone. Just go and show your body to the priest, and you will be cleansed. As Moses commanded, offer a gift as evidence to everyone.

But the fame of Jesus spread even more widely. A large number of people gathered to listen and hope to cure their illnesses.

But Jesus withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

One day when Jesus was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting beside them, who came from the villages of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord is with Jesus, enabling him to heal the sick.

Someone was carrying a paralyzed person on a mat, intending to carry him in and place him before Jesus,

But due to the crowd, he couldn’t find a way to carry him in, so he went up to the roof and let him down with a mat in the middle, in front of Jesus.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven.

And the scribes and the Pharisees discussed, saying, Who is this blasphemer? Who else can forgive sins besides God?

Jesus knew what they were discussing and said, “What are you discussing in your hearts?”?

Or is it as easy for you to get up and walk, or for your sins to be forgiven?

But to let you know that the Son of Man has the power to forgive sins on earth, he said to the paralytic, I command you to get up, take your mat, and go home.

The man immediately stood up in front of the crowd, took the mat on which he was lying, and went home to glorify God.

Everyone was amazed and glorified God, and full of fear, saying, We have seen something extraordinary today.

After these things, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. He said to him, “Follow me.”.

He left everything behind and got up, following Jesus.

Levi made a great feast for Jesus in his own house. There are many tax officials and others sitting at the table with them.

The Pharisees and scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?

Jesus said to them, Those who are healthy do not need a doctor. Those who are sick need it.

I did not come to call the righteous to repent. It is calling sinners to repent.

They said, John’s disciples frequently fasted and prayed, and the disciples of the Pharisees did the same. Only your disciples eat and drink.

Jesus said to them, “When the groom is with the companions, can we make them fast?”?

But as the days come, the groom will leave them, and on that day they will fast.

Jesus also made another parable to them, saying, No one tore off a piece of new clothing and patched it on an old one. If that’s the case, the new one will be torn apart, and the new piece torn off will not match the old one.

No one puts new wine in old leather bags either. If that’s the case, the new wine will crack the skin bag, the wine will leak out, and the skin bag will also be damaged.

But new wine must be packed in new leather bags.

No one wants to drink new wine after drinking old wine, he always says the old one is good.
