Gospel of John_Chapter 9
When Jesus passed by, he saw a person who was born blind.
His disciples asked Jesus, “Rabbi, this person was born blind. Who has sinned?”? What about this person? Is it his parents?
Jesus answered and said, It is not that this man has sinned, nor is it that his parents have sinned, but rather that the works of God may be revealed in him.
Taking advantage of the day, we must do the work of the one who sent me. As the night approaches, no one can work anymore.
When I was in this world, I was the light of the world.
After Jesus had said these words, he spat on the ground and smeared saliva and mud on the eyes of the blind man,
He said to him, “Go and wash in the pool of Siloah.” (Siloah flipped it out and was sent) He went and washed, and when he turned around, he saw it.
His neighbors and those who knew he was a beggar said, “Isn’t this the person who used to sit begging?”?
Someone said it was him. Some people say, no, but it’s like him. He said to himself, it’s me.
They said to him, how do you open your eyes?
He replied, “There is a man named Jesus.”. He wiped my eyes with mud and said to me, “Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.”. I went to wash and saw it.
They said, where is that person? He said, I don’t know.
They brought the previously blind people to the Pharisees.
The day when Jesus and mud opened his eyes is the Sabbath.
The Pharisees also asked him how he could see it. The blind man said to them, “He smeared mud on my eyes, and when I went to wash them, I saw it.”.
Some of the Pharisees said, ‘This person is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath.’. Some people say, how can a sinner perform such miracles? They started a dispute.
They said to the blind man again, “Since he opened your eyes, what kind of person do you think he is?”? He said he was a prophet.
The Jews did not believe that he used to be blind, but later he could see. When they called his parents,
Ask them, is this your son? You said he was born blind, how can he see now?
His parents replied, “He is our son, born blind, and this is what we know.”.
As for how he can see now, we don’t know. We don’t know who opened his eyes. He has become a human, you can ask him. He must be able to speak on his own.
His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews, because the Jews had already agreed that if anyone admitted that Jesus was the Christ, they would drive him out of the synagogue.
So his parents said, he has become a human, you ask him.
So the Pharisees called the man who was once blind a second time and said to him, Give glory to God. We know this person is a sinner.
He said he’s a sinner, I don’t know. There is one thing I know, I used to be blind, but now I can see.
They asked him, “What did he do to you?”? How did you open your eyes?
He replied, “I just told you that you didn’t listen.”. Why listen again? Are you also going to be his disciples?
They cursed him and said, “You are his disciple.”. We are the disciples of Moses.
We know that God spoke to Moses. Just this person, we don’t know where he comes from.
The person replied, “He opened my eyes and you don’t know where he comes from. It’s really strange.”.
We know that God does not listen to sinners. Only those who worship God and do His will will will God listen to them.
Since the creation of the world, no one has been heard to open the eyes of those who were born blind.
If this person is not from God, he cannot do anything.
They replied, “You were born entirely in sin, will you still teach us?”? So he was kicked out.
Jesus heard that they had driven him out. Later, when I met him, I said, “Do you believe in the son of God?”?
He answered, Lord, who is the Son of God that I should believe in him?
Jesus said, You have seen him, and now he is the one speaking to you.
He said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Jesus.
Jesus said, To judge into this world, that those who cannot see may see. What can be seen is actually blind.
The Pharisees who were with him heard these words and said, Are we also blind?
Jesus said to them, “If you are blind, you have no sin.”. But now you say, ‘We can see, so your sin still exists.’.
