I am a true grape tree, and my father is a cultivator.

He cuts off any branch that belongs to me and does not bear fruit. Whoever bears fruit, he repairs it thoroughly to make the branches bear more fruit.

Now you are clean because of the way I told you.

You must always be within me, and I will always be within you. If the branch does not stay on the vine, it cannot bear fruit on its own. If you don’t stay in me often, it’s the same.

I am the grape tree, and you are the branches. He who is always within me, and I am also often within him, will bear more fruit. Because without me, you can’t do anything.

If a person is not always inside me, it is like a branch thrown outside and withered, picked up by a person, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain within me, my words will also remain within you. Whatever you desire, I will pray and it will be fulfilled for you.

You bear more fruit, and my Father is glorified by it, and you are my disciples.

I love you just as my father loves me. You should always be in my love.

If you keep my commands, stay in my love. Just as I have obeyed my father’s commands, always in his love.

I have already told you these things to keep my joy in your hearts and to satisfy your joy.

You must love each other, just as I love you, this is my command.

There is no greater love than sacrificing one’s life for a friend.

If you follow my commands, you are my friends.

In the future, I will no longer refer to you as servants. Because the servant is unaware of what the master is doing. I refer to you as friends. Because of what I heard from my father. I have already told you all.

It’s not that you chose me, it’s that I chose you and assigned you to bear fruit, so that your fruit may continue to grow. In my name, whatever you ask of the Father, he will give it to you.

I command you this to make you love each other.

If the world hates you, you should know that before hating you, you already hated me.

If you belong to the world, the world will love those who belong to it. Just because you don’t belong to the world. It is because I have chosen you from the world, that the world hates you.

Remember what I said to you before, that servants cannot be greater than their masters. If they persecute me, they will also persecute you. If I have followed my words, I will also follow your words.

But they will do all these things to you in my name, because they do not know him who sent me.

If I hadn’t come to teach them, they wouldn’t have been guilty. But now their guilt is beyond reproach.

Those who hate me also hate my father.

If I have not done something among them that no one else has done before, then they have no sin. But now even my father and I have seen and hated it.

This will fulfill the words written in their law, that they hate me without reason.

But I will send a counselor from the Father, the Holy Spirit of truth who comes out of the Father. He came and will testify for me.

You must also bear witness, for you have been with me from the beginning.
