Gospel of John_Chapter 20
On the first morning of the seventh day, when it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the grave and saw the stone removed from it.
And he ran to Simon Peter and the disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, Someone has taken the Lord out of the grave, and we do not know where he is placed.
Peter and the other disciple came out and went to the tomb.
Two people ran together, but the disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first.
Looking down inside, I saw the fine linen cloth still lying there. Just didn’t go in.
Simon Peter also arrived later and went into the tomb, where he saw the fine linen cloth still lying.
I also saw Jesus’ headscarf, which was not placed together with the linen cloth, but rolled up in another place.
The disciple who arrived at the tomb first also went in and believed when he saw it.
Because they still do not understand the meaning of the Bible, which is that Jesus will surely be resurrected from the dead.
So the two disciples went back to their place of residence.
Mary stood outside the grave crying. When crying, look down into the grave,
And he saw two angels, dressed in white, sitting at the place where the body of Jesus was placed, one at the head and the other at the feet.
The angel said to her, Woman, why are you crying? She said, because someone moved my lord, I don’t know where to put it.
After saying these words, he turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but he did not know it was Jesus.
Jesus asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”? Who are you looking for? Mary thought she was looking at the garden, so she said to him, Sir, if you have moved him, please tell me where you have placed him, and I will go and pick him up.
Jesus said, Mary. Mary turned around and said to him in Hebrew, Rabbini. (Laponi means Master)
Jesus said, Do not touch me. Because I haven’t been promoted to meet my father yet. Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I will ascend and see my Father, who is also your Father.’. See my God, who is also your God.
Mary Magdalene went and told her disciples, saying, I have seen the Lord. She told them what the Lord had said to her again.
On the evening of that day, which was the first day of the seven days, the doors of the place where the disciples were located were closed for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood in the middle, saying to them, May you have peace.
After saying these words, he pointed his hand and side to show them. When the disciples saw the Lord, they rejoiced.
Jesus said to them again, May you have peace. Just as my father sent me, I also sent you.
And when he had said these things, he breathed a sigh upon them, saying, Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whoever you forgive, their sins will be forgiven. Whoever sins you leave behind, their sins will be left behind.
Among the twelve disciples, there was Thomas called Didymus. When Jesus came, he was not with them.
And the disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord. But Thomas said, I will not believe it unless I see the nail marks on his hand, and insert my fingers into the nail marks and my hands into his side.
After eight days, the disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them, and the doors were closed. Jesus came and stood in the middle, saying, May you be in peace.
And he said to Thomas, Reach out your finger and touch my hand. Extend your hand and probe into my side. Don’t doubt, always believe.
Thomas said, My Lord, my God.
Jesus said to him, You believed because you saw me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing.
Jesus did many other miracles in front of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.
But these things are written to make you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And that if you believe in him, you may receive life through his name.
