When Rachel saw that she did not give birth to Jacob, she became jealous of her sister and said to Jacob, “Give me a child, otherwise I will die.”.

Jacob was angry with Rachel and said, “It is God who has caused you to be childless. Can I rule on his behalf?”?

Rachel said, “My servant Bilhah is here, so you can have sex with her and give birth to a child under my lap, and I will also have a child because of her.”.

Rachel gave her maid Bilhah to her husband as a concubine. Jacob then slept with her,

Bilhah became pregnant and gave birth to a son for Jacob.

Rachel said, God has avenged me and heard my voice, giving me a son. Therefore, he named him Dan.

Rachel’s maid Bilhah became pregnant again and gave birth to a second son for Jacob.

Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister and have won, so I named her Naphtali.”.

When Leah saw that she had stopped giving birth, she gave her maid Zilpah to Jacob as a concubine.

Leah’s maid Zilpah gave birth to a son for Jacob.

Leah said, “Good luck,” so he named him Gad.

Leah’s maid Zilpah gave birth to Jacob a second son.

Leah said, I am blessed, and all the women will call me blessed. So she named him Asher.

When he was harvesting wheat, Reuben went into the field and found a mandrake, which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son’s mandrakes.”.

Leah said, is it still a small matter that you have taken my husband? Are you going to take my son’s cigar again? Rachel said, ‘For your son’s mandrakes, he can sleep with you tonight.’.

In the evening, when Jacob returned from the field, Leah came out to meet him and said, “You must sleep with me, because I have indeed hired you with my son’s mandrakes.”. That night, Jacob slept with her.

God agreed to Leah, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a fifth son for Jacob.

Leah said, God has given me value, because I have given my maid to my husband. So he was named Issachar (meaning value).

Leah became pregnant again and gave birth to Jacob a sixth son.

Leah said, God has given me a great reward. My husband will live with me because I have given birth to six sons for him. So he was named Sibulun (meaning to live together).

Later, she gave birth to another daughter and named her Dinah.

God cared for Rachel and agreed to her, allowing her to conceive.

Rachel became pregnant and gave birth, saying, God has taken away my shame.

And he named him Joseph, which means to add, saying, May the Lord add me another son.

After Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Please send me away and let me return to my hometown and land.”.

Please give me the wife and children I have gained from serving you, and let me go. You know how I serve you.

Laban said to him, “If I find favor in your sight, please continue to live with me, for I have determined that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.”.

Also, please set your salary, and I will give it to you.

Jacob said to him, You know how I serve you and how your livestock are in my hands.

Before my future, you had very little, but now you have a large number. The Lord has blessed you in my footsteps. Now, when will I start my own family and business?

Laban said, what should I give you? Jacob said, You don’t need to give me anything, only one thing. If you agree, I will continue to graze your flock.

Today I will go through your flock and pick out all the spotted, spotted, and black sheep, as well as all the spotted and spotted goats. In the future, this will be my salary.

In the future, you can check my wages. If the goats in my hands are not a bit spotted or the sheep are not black, then it’s considered that I stole them. This will prove my righteousness.

Laban said, great! I would rather do as you say.

On that day, Laban took out male goats with stripes, spotted goats with spots, spotted goats with mixed white stripes, and black sheep, and handed them over to his sons,

And he separated himself from Jacob by a journey of three days. Jacob took care of the rest of Laban’s sheep.

Jacob took the tender branches of the poplar, apricot, and maple trees and peeled their skin into white stripes, exposing the white branches,

Insert the peeled branches facing the sheep into the water ditch and sink where they drink. When the sheep come to drink, the female will cooperate.

When the sheep cooperate with the branches, they give birth to those with patterns, spots, and spots.

Jacob separated the lambs and set Laban’s sheep opposite the striped and black ones, and placed his own sheep in another place, so that he did not mix them with Laban’s sheep.

When the sheep were strong and ready to mate, Jacob inserted the branches into the ditch, so that the sheep could mate against the branches.

Just don’t insert branches when the sheep are thin and weak to cooperate. So the thin and weak will belong to Laban, and the fat and strong will belong to Jacob.

So Jacob grew extremely large and obtained many flocks, servants, camels, and donkeys.
