The Gospel of Mark_Chapter 10

Jesus stood up from there and arrived at the border of Judea, beyond the Jordan River. The crowd gathered again to him, and he continued to teach them as usual.

A Pharisee came to ask him, ‘Is it okay for a man to divorce his wife?’ He wanted to test him.

Jesus replied, “What did Moses command you?”.

They said, Moses allowed someone to write a divorce certificate so that they could divorce their wife.

Jesus said, Moses wrote this law to you because of your hardness of heart.

But from the beginning of creation, God created men and women.

Therefore, one must leave their parents and unite with their wife, and the two will become one.

Since that’s the case, couples are no longer two people, but one.

Therefore, those who cooperate with God cannot be separated.

When he entered the room, his disciples asked him about this matter.

Jesus said to them, Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery and betrays her.

If a wife abandons her husband and remarries, she also commits adultery.

Someone brought a child to Jesus and asked him to touch them, but his disciples rebuked those people.

When Jesus saw it, he was angry and said to his disciples, “Let the children come to me, do not prohibit them.”. Because in the kingdom of God, it is such a person.

I tell you the truth, anyone who wants to inherit the kingdom of God cannot enter without being like a child.

So he held the children and placed his hands on them, blessing them.

As Jesus went on his journey, a man ran over and knelt before him, asking him, “Good teacher, what do I do to inherit eternal life?”.

Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good. There is no good except God.

You know the commandments: do not kill, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false testimony, do not betray others, and show filial piety to your parents.

He said to Jesus, Master, I have kept all these things from a young age.

Jesus looked at him and loved him, saying to him, You still lack one thing. Sell what you have and distribute it to the poor, and there will be treasure in heaven. You still have to come and follow me.

When he heard these words, his face changed and he left with sorrow and sorrow. Because he has a lot of industries.

Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”.

The disciples were amazed by his words. Jesus said to them again, “Young man, how difficult it is for those who rely on wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”.

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eyes of a needle than for a wealthy man to enter the kingdom of God.

And the disciples were greatly amazed and said to him, Who can be saved like this?

Jesus looked at them and said, It is not possible with humans, but not with God. Because God can do everything.

Peter said to him, “Look, we have left everything behind and followed you.”.

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, you have left your house, or your brother, or your sisters, or your parents, or your children, or your fields, for me and the gospel.”.

There is no one who does not receive a hundredfold in this world: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, and will be persecuted. In the afterlife, one must attain eternal life.

However, there are many who will come first and those who will come later will come first.

They traveled up to Jerusalem. As Jesus walked ahead, his disciples were amazed, and those who followed were also afraid. Jesus called twelve more disciples and told them what he was about to encounter, saying,

See, when we go up to Jerusalem, the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles.

They will tease him, spit on his face, whip him, and kill him. After three days, he will be resurrected.

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward and said to Jesus, Master, may you do whatever we ask of you.

Jesus said, What do you want me to do for you.

They said, Give us one to sit on your right side and one to sit on your left side in your glory.

Jesus said, You do not know what you are asking for. The cup I drink. Can you drink it? Can you accept the baptism I have received?

They said, we can. Jesus said, Drink also the cup that I drink. You shall also receive the baptism that I have received.

Just sitting on my left and right, it’s not something I can give. To whom it is prepared, it shall be given.

When the ten disciples heard this, they were angry with Jacob and John.

Jesus called them and said to them, You know that there are kings among the Gentiles who are honored to rule over them. There are ministers wielding power to regulate them.

Just among you, it’s not like that. Whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant.

Whoever wishes to be the leader among you will be a servant to all.

For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to sacrifice his life as a ransom for many.

Arriving at Jericho. When Jesus, along with his disciples and many others, went out of Jericho, there was a blind beggar named Bartemius son of Demai sitting by the roadside.

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.”.

Many people rebuked him and forbade him from speaking, but he shouted even louder, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me.’.

Jesus stood still and said, Call him over. They called the blind man and said to him, Don’t worry, get up, he called you.

The blind man threw down his clothes, jumped up, and walked to Jesus.

Jesus said, What do you want me to do for you. The blind man said, La Boni, I want to be able to see. (Laponi is the master)

Jesus said, Go. Your letter saved you. The blind man immediately saw it and followed Jesus on the road.
