The Lord said to Moses, “You, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, come up to me and bow down from afar.”.

Only you may approach the Lord, but they shall not approach, and the people shall not come up with you.

Moses went down from the mountain and recounted all the commands and laws of the Lord to the people. All the people spoke in unison, saying, We will all do as the Lord has commanded us.

Moses wrote down all the commands of the Lord. Early in the morning, he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and erected twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel,

And he sent young men of Israel to offer burnt offerings, and to offer oxen as peace offerings to the Lord.

Moses put half of the blood in a basin and sprinkled the other half on the altar,

And read the Book of the Covenant to the people. They said, We will all do as the Lord has commanded us.

Moses sprinkled the blood on the people and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, the sign of the covenant that the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”.

Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel all went up to the mountain.

They saw the God of Israel, and his feet were as if there were flat sapphires, as clear as the sky.

His hand did not harm the One of Israel. They looked at God, eating and drinking.

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here. I will give you the stone tablets and the laws and commandments I have written, so that you can teach the people.”.

Moses and his helper Joshua got up and went up to the mountain of God.

Moses said to the elders, “Wait here until we come back. Aaron and Hur will be with you.”. Anyone who has a dispute can go near them.

Moses went up to the mountain, and a cloud covered it.

The glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered the mountain for six days. On the seventh day, he called Moses out of the cloud.

The glory of the Lord is like a blazing fire on the mountaintop, in the sight of the Israelites.

Moses entered the clouds and went up the mountain, spending forty days and nights on the mountain.
