Exodus_Chapter 2

A Levite married a Levite woman.

The woman was pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was handsome, she hid him for three months,

Later, he couldn’t hide it anymore, so he took a cattail box, smeared it with stone paint and oil, put the child inside, and placed the box in the reeds by the river.

The child’s sister stood far away, you need to know how he really is.

The Pharaoh’s daughter came to the river to take a bath, while her maids walked by the river. She saw the box among the reeds and sent a maid to bring it.

She opened the box and saw the child. When the child cried, she pitied him and said, “This is a Hebrew child.”.

The child’s sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Can I go and call a wet nurse among the Hebrew women to nurse this child for you?”.

The Pharaoh’s daughter said, yes. The virgin went and called the mother of the child.

Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, ‘Take this child and nurse him for me, and I will pay you the wages.’. The woman took the child and went to nurse him.

As the child grew older, the woman took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and became her son. She named the child Moses, meaning, ‘Because I pulled him out of the water.’.

Later, when Moses grew up, he went out to his brothers and saw their burdens. He saw an Egyptian beating one of the Hebrew brothers.

He looked around and saw no one, so he killed the Egyptians and hid them in the sand.

The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He said to the bully, “Why did you hit your fellow countrymen?”?

And the man said, Who made you our leader and judge? Are you going to kill me, like killing that Egyptian? And Moses was afraid, saying, This thing must be known.

When Pharaoh heard this, he wanted to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and lived in the land of Midian.

One day, he sat down by the well. The priests of Midian had seven daughters who came to fetch water and fill their troughs to drink from their father’s flock.

A shepherd came and drove them away, but Moses got up to help them and drank from their flock.

They came to their father Reuel and he said, “Why did you come so quickly today?”?

They said, “An Egyptian saved us from the hands of the shepherds and brought us water to drink from the flock.”.

He said to his daughters, where is that person? Why did you leave him? Please invite him to dinner.

Moses was willing to live with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses as his wife.

Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom, saying, Because I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.

After many years, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites sighed and cried out for their hard work, and their cry reached out to God.

When God heard their cries, he remembered the covenant he had made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

God cares for the Israelites and knows their suffering.
