1 Corinthians_Chapter 10

Brothers, I do not want you not to know that our ancestors were all under the clouds and passed through the sea.

They were all baptized and returned to Moses in the cloud and sea.

And they all ate the same spiritual food.

They all drank the same spiritual water. What they drink comes from following their spiritual rock. That rock is Christ.

But most of them are people that God doesn’t like. So he fell dead in the wilderness.

These things are all our warnings, urging us not to covet evil things like they do.

Do not worship idols, as some of them worship. As recorded in the scripture, the people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.

We should not engage in adultery, as some of them did, and 23000 people fell in one day.

Do not tempt the Lord, just as some of them tempted and were destroyed by snakes.

Do not complain, just as some of them who complain are destroyed by those who destroy their lives.

They should serve as a warning when they encounter these things. And it is written in the scripture as a warning to us, the people of the end times.

So those who think they can stand steadily need to be cautious to avoid falling.

The temptations you encounter are nothing more than what humans can endure. God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. When being tempted, I will always give you a way out so that you can bear it.

My beloved brothers, flee from the worship of idols.

I seem to be speaking to someone who understands, you need to examine my words.

Isn’t the cup we bless receiving the blood of Christ together? Isn’t the bread we break apart also the body of Christ?

Although we are many, we are still a cake, a body. Because we all share this cake.

Look at the flesh of the Israelites. Isn’t the one who eats the sacrifice divided on the altar?

What did I say? What is it to say that offerings to idols are nothing? Or what do idols count as?

I mean, the sacrifices offered by the Gentiles are to demons, not to gods. I don’t want you to associate with ghosts.

You cannot drink the Lord’s cup and the Ghost’s cup. Cannot eat the feast of the Lord and the feast of ghosts.

Can we provoke the Lord’s anger? Do we have more ability than him?

Everything is feasible. But not all have benefits. Everything is feasible. But not all make people.

No matter who, they do not demand their own benefits, but demand the benefits of others.

Eat whatever is sold in the market, and ask no questions for conscience’s sake.

For the earth and all that is filled in it belong to the Lord.

If an unbeliever invites you to a banquet, if you are willing to go, eat whatever is set before you and ask no questions for conscience’s sake.

If anyone says to you, ‘This is an offering that has been offered,’ then they will not eat it for those who tell you and for the sake of conscience.

The conscience I am talking about is not yours, but his. Why is my freedom judged by the conscience of others?

If I give thanks and eat, why is it slandered because of the things I give thanks to?

So whether you eat or drink, or do anything, do it for the glory of God.

Do not let him fall, whether he be a Jew, a Greek, or the Church of God.

Just like how I make everyone happy in everything, not seeking my own benefit, but only seeking the benefit of everyone, so that they may be saved.
