1 Corinthians_Chapter 5
Rumor has it that there is an affair of debauchery among you. This kind of debauchery is not even among the Gentiles, except that some have taken in his stepmother.
You are still arrogant and do not mourn, driving out those who have done this from among you.
Although my body is not with you, my heart is with you, as if I myself am with you and have judged those who do this,
Even when you gather together, my heart is with you, in the name of our Lord Jesus and through the power of our Lord Jesus,
To deliver such a person to Satan, to corrupt his body, so that his soul may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus.
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast can make the whole dough rise?
As you are unleavened dough, remove the old yeast so that you may become a new lump. Because Christ, our Passover lamb, has already been killed and sacrificed.
Therefore, we cannot keep this feast with old yeast, nor with malice or evil yeast, only with honest and true unleavened bread.
I wrote to you earlier, saying, Do not associate with promiscuous people.
This does not mean that all those who engage in debauchery, greed, extortion, or idolatry in this world must leave the world.
But now I am writing to you, saying, If anyone is called a brother, who is a promiscuous, greedy, idolater, or insulting, or drunk, or extorting. Such a person cannot be associated with him. Even eating with him is not allowed.
Because judging people outside of the church has nothing to do with me. Aren’t the people within the sect judged by you?
As for outsiders, God judges them. You should drive out the wicked man from among you.
