圣经Two days later is the Passover and also the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and scribes tried to figure out how to use trickery to capture Jesus and kill him.
But it is not allowed on the day of the festival, for fear that the people may cause chaos.
While Jesus was sitting at the house of Simon, who had grown leprosy in Bethany, a woman came with a precious jar of true nard ointment, broke the jar, and poured the ointment on Jesus’ head.
A few people were very unhappy in their hearts and said, “Why waste the ointment like this?”?
This ointment can be sold for over thirty taels of silver to help the poor. They were angry with that woman.
Jesus said, Let her alone. Why is it difficult for her? What she did to me was a beautiful thing.
Because poor people are always with you, do good to them at any time. It’s just that you don’t often have me.
What she did was to the best of her ability. She poured ointment on me in advance for my burial.
I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, she will also recount what she has done as a memory.
One of the twelve disciples, Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests to deliver Jesus to them.
When they heard it, they were overjoyed and promised to give him silver. He thought about how to be convenient and handed Jesus over to them.
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was the day when the Passover lambs were slaughtered, his disciples said to Jesus, “Where do you want us to prepare for the Passover?”?
Jesus sent two disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and someone will come with a bottle of water.”. You just follow him.
When he goes into that house, you should tell the owner of that house, the master said, where is the guest room? I and my disciples enjoyed the Passover feast there.
He will show you a neatly decorated building, and you will prepare it for us there.
The disciples went out and entered the city, and what they found was as Jesus had said. They prepared the Passover feast
In the evening, Jesus and the twelve disciples came.
As they were eating at the table, Jesus said to them, Truly I tell you, one of you who eats with me will betray me.
They became sad and asked him one by one, “Is it me?”?
Jesus said to them, It is the one among the twelve disciples who dipped his hand in a plate with me.
The Son of Man shall surely pass away, as it is written of him. But woe to those who sell sons of man, it would be better if they were not born in this world.
As they were eating, Jesus picked up bread and blessed it. He broke it open and handed it to them, saying, Take it and eat. This is my body.
Pick up the cup again, thank you, and pass it to them. They all drank.
Jesus said, This is the blood of my covenant, which was shed for many.
I tell you the truth, I will no longer drink this grape juice until the day when I drink new wine in the kingdom of God.
After singing a poem, they came out and headed towards the Mount of Olives.
Jesus said to them, “You will all fall.”. Because it is written in the scripture that I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.
But after I am resurrected, I will go to Galilee before you.
Peter said, Although everyone has fallen, I cannot.
Jesus said to him, Truly, I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.
But Peter vehemently said, Even if I must die with you, I cannot deny you. All the disciples said so.
They arrived at a place called Kesimani. Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here and wait for me to pray.”.
So he took Peter, Jacob, and John with him, and became terrified and extremely distressed.
Tell them, my heart is very sad, almost dying. You are here, waiting to be vigilant.
He walked slightly forward and knelt down on the ground, praying, saying, If it is possible, let that time pass.
He said, Dad, Father, you can do anything with me. Please remove this cup. However, don’t follow my instructions, just follow your instructions.
When Jesus returned and saw them sleeping, he said to Peter, Simon, are you sleeping? Can’t we watch for a moment?
Be vigilant and pray, so as not to fall into temptation. Your soul is willing, but your body is weak.
Jesus went to pray again, and his words remained the same as before.
I saw them sleeping again because their eyes were very tired. They don’t know how to answer either.
Come for the third time and tell them, you should still sleep and rest. That’s enough, it’s time. Look, the Son of Man has been sold into the hands of sinners.
Get up, let’s go. Look, the person who sold me is getting closer.
As he was speaking, suddenly Judas, one of the twelve disciples, came with him, along with many others carrying swords and sticks, from the chief priests, scribes, and elders.
The person who betrayed Jesus gave them a secret signal, saying, Whoever I kiss is him. You hold onto him and take him away firmly.
Judas came and immediately came to Jesus, saying, Rabbi, and kissed him.
They took action to catch him.
The person standing next to him drew a sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off one of his ears.
Jesus said to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to take me, like taking a thief?”?
I teach every day and am with you in the temple, but you did not take me. But this was accomplished to fulfill the words of the scriptures.
The disciples all left him and fled.
There was a young man who was wearing a piece of burlap naked and following Jesus, and the crowd arrested him.
But he lost his burlap and fled naked.
They brought Jesus to the high priest. And all the chief priests, elders, and scribes gathered together with the high priest.
Peter followed Jesus from a distance and entered the courtyard of the high priest, sitting with the attendants in the flames, warming the fire.
The chief priests and the entire council searched for witnesses to accuse Jesus and put him to death. But I can’t find it.
Because many people testified falsely against him, but their testimony did not match.
A few more people stood up and testified falsely against him, saying,
We heard him say, ‘I will demolish the temple that was made by human hands, and within three days I will build another temple that was not made by human hands.’.
They are witnesses in this way, and they do not agree with each other.
The high priest stood up in the middle and asked Jesus, “Do you not answer anything?”? What are these people testifying against you?
But Jesus remained silent and did not answer a word. The high priest asked him again, “Are you Christ, the son of the one to be praised?”.
Jesus said, I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting on the right side of the Mighty One, descending on the clouds of heaven.
The high priest tore open his clothes and said, “Why do we need any more witnesses?”?
You have already heard his blasphemy. What are your opinions? They all condemned him to death.
Someone spat on his face, covered his face, punched him, and said to him, “Prophecy.”. The servant took him over and slapped him with the palm of his hand.
Peter is down in the courtyard, and a servant of the high priest has arrived.
When he saw Peter warming the fire, he looked at him and said, You have always been with Jesus the Nazarene.
But Peter denied it and said, “I don’t know, I don’t understand what you’re saying.”. So he came out and went to the front yard. The chicken crowed.
The maid saw him and said to the person standing next to her, “This is also their party.”.
Peter refused to admit it again. Not long after, the person standing next to Peter said, “You are really one of them.”. Because you are a Galilean.
Peter cursed and swore, saying, I do not recognize the person you are talking about.
Immediately, the rooster crowed a second time. Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”. When I think, I cry.
