After a few days, Jesus entered Capernaum again. People hear him in the house,

Many people gathered together, and there was no open space even in front of the door, so Jesus preached to them.

Someone brought a paralyzed person to Jesus, who was carried by four people.

Because there were many people, they were unable to approach. So they demolished the roof of the house where Jesus was, and after they had uncovered it, they let down the paralyzed man and even the mat he was lying on.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven.

A few literati sat there, murmuring in their hearts,

Why does this person say that? He spoke blasphemy. Who else can forgive sins besides God?

Jesus knew in his heart that they were discussing in this way, and he said, Why are you discussing in your hearts like this?

Or say to the paralyzed, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Get up and take your mat and walk,’ which is equally easy?

But to let you know that the Son of Man has the power to forgive sins on earth, he said to the paralytic,

I command you to get up, take your mat, and go home.

The man got up and immediately took the mat and went out in front of everyone. So that everyone was amazed and glorified God, saying, We have never seen such a thing before.

Jesus went out to the seaside again, and everyone came to him, and he taught them.

As Jesus passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax booth, and said to him, Follow me. He got up and followed Jesus.

When Jesus was eating at the house of Levi, many tax collectors and sinners sat at the table with Jesus and his disciples. Because there were many such people, they also followed Jesus.

The scribes among the Pharisees, seeing Jesus eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, Does he eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?

When Jesus heard this, he said to them, The healthy do not need a doctor, only those who are sick do. I did not come to call the righteous, but to call sinners.

At present, John’s disciples and the Pharisees fasted. They came and asked Jesus, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”?

Jesus said to them, “When the groom is with the companions, can the companions fast?”? The groom is still with them, they cannot fast.

But as the days come, the groom will leave them, and on that day they will fast.

No one sews new fabric onto old clothes. I’m afraid the new fabric added will damage the old clothes and make the damage even worse.

No one puts new wine in old leather bags either. I’m afraid the wine will crack the leather bag, and both the wine and the leather bag will be damaged. Only put the new wine in a new leather bag.

On the Sabbath, Jesus passed through the wheat fields. While his disciples were on their way, they pinched the ears of wheat.

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “See, why do they do something that is not lawful on the Sabbath?”?

Jesus said to them, Have you not read what David and those who followed him did when they lacked food and hunger?

When Abiathar was the high priest, how did he enter the temple of God, eat the shewbread, and give it to those who followed him. No one is allowed to eat this cake except the priest.

And he said to them, The Sabbath is set for men, and men are not set for the Sabbath.

So the Son of Man is also the Lord of the Sabbath
