Romans_Chapter 1

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, was called an apostle and appointed to preach the gospel of God.

This gospel was promised by God through the prophets in the Bible.

As for his son, my Lord Jesus Christ. According to the flesh, it was born from the descendants of David.

According to the spirit of holiness, by resurrection from the dead, it is revealed with great power that he is the Son of God.

We have received grace from him and the apostolic position, to make people believe in the truth in his name among all nations.

Among them are also you who are called to Jesus Christ.

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints. May grace and peace be upon you from our Father God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Firstly, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you. Because your faith has spread throughout the world.

In the Gospel of His Son, the God whom I serve with my soul can bear witness to how I constantly mention you,

In the midst of prayer, always plead, or according to God’s will, that a smooth path may eventually come to you.

Because I am eager to see you and distribute some spiritual gifts to you, so that you may be strengthened.

So that I may be comforted together among you because of your mutual faith with me.

Brothers, I do not want you not to know. I have repeatedly decided to go to you to get some fruit among you, just as I did among the other Gentiles. However, there are still obstacles to this day.

I owe all the Greeks, the barbarians, the wise, and the foolish.

So I am willing to do my best to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome.

I am not ashamed of the gospel. This gospel is the power of God to save all who believe, first Jews and then Greeks.

Because the righteousness of God is manifested in this gospel. This meaning stems from faith and is therefore believed. As it is written, the righteous shall be born by faith.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven on all ungodly and unrighteous people, who do unrighteousness and obstruct the truth.

The things of God that men can know are revealed in their hearts. Because God has made it clear to them.

Since the creation of heaven and earth, the eternal power and divinity of God have been clearly known. Although they cannot be seen by the eyes, they can be known through the things they create, making it impossible for people to shirk responsibility.

Because although they know God, they do not glorify him as God, nor do they thank him. Their longing becomes vain, and their ignorant hearts become dim.

Self proclaimed intelligence has turned into foolishness,

Transforming the glory of the incorruptible God into an idol, like a perishable person, like birds, animals, and insects.

So God allowed them to do unclean things through the desires of their hearts, so that they defiled each other’s bodies.

They turn the truth of God into a lie and worship and serve the created, not the Creator. The Lord is blessed forever. Amen.

Therefore, God allows them to indulge shameful desires. Their women turn the use of conformity into the use of rebellion.

Men are also like this, abandoning the use of women’s obedience, lusting for each other, and being greedy for each other. Men and men who do shameful things receive the deserved retribution for their own wrongdoing.

Since they intentionally do not know God, God allows them to do those unreasonable things with a wicked heart,

Filled with all kinds of injustice, evil, greed, and malice. Full of jealousy, murder, competition, deceit, and hatred.

They are also slanderers, those who speak behind their backs, those who hate God, those who insult people, those who are arrogant, those who boast, those who fabricate evil things, and those who go against their parents,

Ignorant, promiscuous, unfriendly, and merciless.

Although they know God’s judgment that those who do such things should die, they not only do it themselves, but also enjoy others doing it.
