Nehemiah_Chapter 3

At that time, the high priest Eliashib and his brothers and all the priests stood up and built the sheep gate, consecrated it, and erected its doors. And he built the city walls as far as the Tower of Hamia and as far as the Tower of Hananel, and consecrated them.

Next, it was built by the Jericho people. Next was Zaccur, the son of Imri, who built it.

The descendants of Hassenah established the fish gate, erected crossbeams, installed doors, and locks.

Next was Mirimoth, the son of Uriah, the grandson of Hakoz, who repaired it. Next was Meshullam, the son of Berechiah, the grandson of Mishisabel, who repaired it. Next was Zadok, the son of Banah, who repaired it.

Next was the construction of the Tigoans. But their nobles do not have to shoulder the work of their lord.

Jehoiada, the son of Basia, and Mishullam, the son of Bisodai, repaired the ancient gate, erected crossbeams, installed doors, and locks.

Next were Merati the Gibeonite, Jadun the Milonite, and the Gibeonite, as well as the Mizpah people under the jurisdiction of the governor of the west bank of the river.

Next was the silversmith, Uzziel, the son of Hahaiya, who repaired it. Next is the construction of Hananiah, who makes incense. These people fortified Jerusalem until the wide wall.

Maachiah, the son of Harim, and Hashu, the son of Bahamoab, repaired a section and the furnace tower.

Next was Shallum, the son of Harohel, who was in charge of the half of Jerusalem, and his daughters who repaired it.

The residents of Hanun and Sanoah repaired the valley gate, erected it, installed its doors and locks, and built a thousand cubits of city walls, all the way to the dung gate.

Machiah, the son of Rechal, who was in charge of Berhachirim, repaired the gate of the dung factory, erected it, installed its doors and locks.

And Shalun, the son of Gehazi, who was in charge of Mizpah, repaired the spring gate, erected the gate, covered the top of the gate, and installed the door leaves and locks. He also repaired the wall near the pool of Zeroah in the king’s garden, as far as the steps that came down from the city of David.

Next to him was Nehemiah the son of Abd, who was in charge of half of Berzul, who repaired it all the way to the opposite side of David’s grave, as well as the dug pool and the houses of the warriors.

Next was the Levite, Rehum the son of Bani, who repaired. Next was managing half of Keilah, and Hashabiah built the territory under his control.

Next was Bawai, the son of Henadad, who was in charge of half of Keilah among the Levite brothers.

Next was Ezer, the son of Jeshua, who was in charge of Mizpah. He repaired a section facing the slope of the arsenal and the turning of the city wall.

Next was Baruch, the son of Sabai, who worked hard to build a section that turned from the city wall to the gate of the high priest Eliashib’s house.

Next was Mirimoth, the son of Uriah, the grandson of Hakoz, who repaired a section from the gate of Eliashib’s house to the end of Eliashib’s house.

Next is the priests who live in the plains for repairs.

Next were Benjamin and Hashut, who repaired their own houses. Next was Azariah, the son of Maaseiah, the grandson of Anani, who was repairing his house near him.

Next was Binnui, the son of Henadad, who repaired a section from Azariah’s house to the turning of the city wall, and then to the corner of the city.

Barak, the son of Usai, repaired the turning of the city wall and the protruding tower of the king’s palace near the guard house. Next was Peter, the son of Baruch, who repaired.

(Nethinim lived in Ophel until the opposite side of the water gate facing east and the protruding city tower.)

Next, the Tigoans repaired another section facing the protruding building, all the way to the wall of Ophel.

From the horse gate up, the priests each repaired their own houses.

Next was Zadok, the son of Immai, who repaired his own house. Next was Shemaiah, the son of Shecaniah, who was guarding the east gate.

Next were Hananiah, the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Sarah, who repaired another section. Next was Meshullam, the son of Berechiah, who repaired his own house.

Next was the silversmith Machiah who repaired to Nethinim and the merchant’s house, facing the door of Hamiphegal, as far as the corner tower of the city.

Silversmiths and merchants built in the corner tower of the city and between the sheep gate.
