Min Shu Ji_Chapter 18
The Lord said to Aaron, “You, your sons, and your own people shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary together.”. You and your son must also bear the sins of committing the priesthood together.
Bring your brothers the Levites, the tribe of your ancestors, and unite them with you to serve you. However, you and your sons must serve together in front of the tabernacle of the Testament.
They shall keep what they command you and keep the entire tabernacle, but they shall not come near the utensils of the sanctuary or the altar, lest they and you die.
They will unite with you and guard the tabernacle, handling all its affairs, but outsiders are not allowed to come near you.
Keep watch over the sanctuary and altar, so that wrath may not come again on the Israelites.
I have chosen your brothers the Levites from among the Israelites as a reward to you, to do the work of the tabernacle of meeting.
You and your son shall serve together as priests for all things that belong to the altar and within the curtain. You should serve like this. I will give you the priesthood as a reward to serve me. Any outsider who approaches will be put to death.
The Lord spoke to Aaron, saying, “I have entrusted you with the management of all the offerings that are holy to the Israelites, which belong to me.”. Because you have been anointed, give these to you and your descendants as an eternal portion.
The most holy offering that the Israelites have given me is all grain offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings. All that remains without fire is the most holy thing, and it will be yours and your descendants.
You need to eat these as sacred items. Any male can eat it. You should regard this thing as sacred.
The lifting and shaking offerings offered by the Israelites are yours. I have bestowed upon you and your children as an eternal portion. Any clean person in your house can eat it.
I will give you the best of all the oil, new wine, and grain that the Israelites have offered to the Lord, the first ripe thing.
All the firstfruits brought to the Lord from their land shall belong to you. Clean people in your home can eat it.
All the eternal offerings in Israel will belong to you.
All that they offer to the Lord, including humans and livestock, and any firstborn, shall be yours. It’s just human, it must be redeemed. The head of unclean livestock must also be redeemed.
Those who are to be redeemed beyond one month shall be redeemed for five shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary, according to your estimation of the price (one shekel is twenty gerahs).
But the first born ox, or the first born sheep and goats, shall not be redeemed; they shall be holy; their blood shall be sprinkled on the altar, and their fat shall be burned as a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord.
Its flesh will belong to you, just like the shaken chest and the lifted right leg.
I will give you and your children all the offerings of the holy things that the Israelites offer to the Lord as an eternal portion. This is for you and your descendants as an eternal covenant of salt before the Lord.
The Lord said to Aaron, “You shall not have any inheritance in the land of the Israelites, nor shall you have any portion among them.”. I am your portion, your industry.
I have given every tenth of the output in Israel as an inheritance to the descendants of Levi. Because they were responsible for the work of the tabernacle, they were given as a reward for their labor.
From now on, the Israelites shall not come near the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear the burden of sin and die.
Only the Levites will do the work of the tabernacle of meeting and bear their sins. This will be an eternal ordinance for your generations to come. They shall not have any inheritance among the Israelites.
For I have given the Levites as an inheritance the tenth part of the output of the Israelites, which is offered as an offering to the Lord. So I said to them, There shall be no inheritance among the Israelites.
The Lord commanded Moses, saying,
Speak to the Levites, saying, From the tenth part that you have taken from the Israelites, which I have given to you as an inheritance, you shall take another tenth part from that tenth part as an offering to the Lord,
This offering shall be counted as the grain of your threshing floor, and as the wine full of wine.
In this way, you shall also offer the tenth part of the Israelites as an offering to the Lord, and from this tenth part, you shall give the offering to the Lord as an offering to Aaron the priest.
All the gifts that are given to you shall be offered as an offering to the Lord, the most good of which is consecrated.
So you must say to the Levites, ‘Lift up the most good from among them, and it will be counted as food for you on the threshing floor, like the wine of the winepress.’.
You and your family can eat anywhere. This was originally your reward, as a reward for your service in the tent of meeting.
You will lift up the most good from among them, so that you will not bear any sin for it. Do not desecrate the holy things of the Israelites, or you will die.
