Min Shu Ji_Chapter 5
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Command the Israelites to bring out all those who have leprosy, leakage, and unclean corpses from outside the camp.
Let both men and women go out of the camp, so as not to defile their camp. This camp is where I live.
The Israelites did this, causing them to go outside the camp. As the Lord commanded Moses, the Israelites did.
The Lord said to Moses,
Speak to the Israelites, saying, If any man or woman commits the sins that men often commit, even to the point of offending the Lord, then that person shall be guilty.
He must admit the crime he has committed and compensate the person he has wronged in full, plus one-fifth, and also attribute it to the person he has wronged.
If the person has no relatives to receive the compensation, then the compensation shall belong to the priests who serve the Lord. As for the ram who redeemed him, it was outside.
All the sacred offerings offered by the Israelites to the priests shall belong to the priests.
Whatever is consecrated by each person, it shall be given to the priest.
The Lord said to Moses,
Speak to the Israelites, saying, If a man’s wife goes astray and sins against her husband,
Someone had sexual intercourse with her, the situation was strict, and she kept it from her husband. Moreover, she was defiled and there were no witnesses, and she was not caught during her sexual activity,
Her husband developed a suspicious hatred towards her, whether she had been defiled or her husband developed a suspicious hatred towards her, but she was not defiled,
This person shall bring his wife to the priest and bring a tenth of an ephah of barley flour as an offering for her, and shall not pour oil or add frankincense. Because this is a grain offering of suspicion and hatred, a grain offering of longing, causing people to yearn for sin.
The priest shall bring the woman closer and stand before the Lord.
The priest shall put holy water in a clay vessel, and take some dust from the ground of the tabernacle and put it in the water.
The priest shall make the woman with disheveled hair stand before the Lord, and put the grain offering of longing, even the grain offering of doubt, into her hand. The priest held the bitter water that caused the curse in his hand,
Make the woman swear and say to her, ‘If no one has committed adultery with you and has not done anything unclean behind your husband, then you will be spared from this curse and suffering.’.
If you do unclean things behind your husband’s back, and someone else engages in sexual activity with you outside of your husband,
(The priest cursed and swore to the woman) May the Lord make your thighs thin and your belly swollen, so that you may be cursed among your people and become an oath.
And this cursed water will enter your intestines, causing your belly to swell and your thighs to become thin. The woman will answer, Amen, Amen.
The priest shall write the words of this curse and put them in bitter water,
And make the woman drink the bitter water that causes the curse. This water is going to enter her and become bitter.
The priest shall take the grain offering of suspicion from the woman’s hand, shake it before the Lord, and bring it to the altar.
Take a handful from the grain offering as a commemoration of this matter, burn it on the altar, and then make the woman drink this water.
After making her drink, if she is defiled and offends her husband, the cursed water will enter her and become bitter. Her belly will swell, her thighs will become thin, and the woman will be cursed among her people.
If a woman is not defiled but pure, she shall be spared from this calamity and shall conceive.
The wife committed obscene acts behind her husband’s back,
Or if one has a heart of suspicion and hatred towards their wife, there is a law of suspicion and hatred. At that time, he will make the woman stand before the Lord, and the priests will walk on her according to this law.
A man shall be innocent, and a woman shall bear her iniquity.
