Min Shu Ji_Chapter 12
Moses married a woman from Ethiopia. Miriam and Aaron slandered him because of the Ethiopian woman he married,
Saying, Does the Lord speak only to Moses, and not to us? The Lord has heard these words.
Moses was extremely humble, surpassing all the people in the world.
The Lord suddenly said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, ‘Come out, all three of you, and come to the Tent of Meeting.’. The three of them came out.
The Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent of meeting, calling Aaron and Miriam, and they came out.
The Lord said, “Listen to my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will appear to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream.”.
My servant Moses is not like this. He is loyal to my whole family.
I will speak to him face to face, openly without riddles, and he will see my image. Why are you not afraid when you slander my servant Moses?
The Lord was angry with both of them and went away.
The clouds moved away from the tabernacle of the meeting, and to his surprise, Miriam had leprosy, as white as snow. Aaron saw that Miriam had developed a leprosy,
And he said to Moses, My lord, do not impose this sin on us because of our foolishness and sin.
Please do not make her like that stillborn baby with half rotten flesh.
So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, O God, heal her.
The Lord said to Moses, “If her father spits on her face, will she not be ashamed for seven days?”? Now we need to lock her outside the camp for seven days before we can bring her in.
So Miriam was locked outside the camp for seven days. The people had no way out until Miriam was brought in.
Afterwards, the people set out from Hazroth and camped in the wilderness of Balaam.
