The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Command the Israelites, saying, When you come to the land of Canaan, which belongs to you, the four borders of Canaan,

The southern corner will be from the wilderness of Zin, along the border to the east. The southern boundary should start from the east end of the Salt Sea,

Round to the south of the slope of Achrabinpo, continue to Zin, go straight to the south of Kadeshbania, then to Hassaada, and continue to Amon,

Turn from Amon to the small river in Egypt and continue until it reaches the sea.

To the west, the sea will serve as the boundary. This is your western boundary.

The northern boundary will be drawn from the sea to Mount Hor,

And it extended to Zephyron, even to Hassah Elam. This will serve as your northern boundary.

You shall mark the eastern boundary from Hassah and Elam to Shephan.

This boundary will go down from Shephan to Liberah on the east side of Ayan, and also to the east side of Lake Kinnered.

This boundary will go down to the Jordan River and end at the Salt Sea. Within these four boundaries, it will be your land.

Moses commanded the Israelites, saying, This is the land that the Lord commanded to cast lots for the nine and a half tribes to inherit.

Because the tribes of Reuben and Gad received inheritance according to their families, and half of the tribe of Manasseh also received inheritance.

These two and a half tribes have already received their inheritance across from Jericho, east of the Jordan River, towards the sunrise.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

The names of the people who will divide the land for your inheritance are Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

Choose a leader from each tribe to help them.

The names of these people are Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah.

From the tribe of Simeon, there was Shimuri son of Ammihud.

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Gizrun.

But there was a leader of the tribe, Buki son of Joli.

There was a leader of the tribe of Manasseh, a descendant of Joseph, Haniel son of Epher.

There was a leader of the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Sephtan.

There was a leader of the tribe of Zebulun, Elizaphan son of Panah.

There was a leader of the tribe of Issachar, Patiel son of Asan.

There was a leader of the Asher tribe, Ahihud son of Shelomith.

There was a leader of the tribe of Naphtali, Bedaher the son of Ammihud.

These are the people whom the Lord commanded to divide their inheritance among the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
