The land of Simeon was obtained from the land of Judah. Because the Jews were divided too much, the Simeon people obtained their inheritance in their land.

These cities and their villages are the inheritance of the Dan tribe according to their families.

After the Israelites finished dividing the land according to their borders, they gave it to Joshua, the son of Nun, as an inheritance among them,

As the Lord commanded, he gave Joshua the city he had asked for, which was the city of Timnath Selah in the hill country of Ephraim. He built the city and lived in it.

This is the inheritance that Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun, as well as the heads of the tribes of Israel, cast lots at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting in Shiloh before the Lord. In this way, they finished dividing the land.
