Joshua_Chapter 16
The land that Joseph’s descendants obtained by lot was from the Jordan River near Jericho, with the waters east of Jericho as the boundary. They went up from Jericho and passed through the wilderness of the mountain to Bethel.
From Bethel to Luz, and then to the border of the Achaetes, all the way to Ataroth.
And he went down to the west to the border of the Abites, to the border of Lower Beth Horon, to Gezer, and to the sea.
Joseph’s son Manasseh and Ephraim obtained their inheritance.
The territory of the descendants of Ephraim, according to their clans, is recorded below: the eastern boundary of their inheritance is Ataroth, which reaches Upper Beth Horon.
To the west, it leads to Mitha to the north, and to the east, it goes around to Tanashiro and continues to the east of Janohah.
From Janohad down to Ataroth, and then to Nalah, reaching Jericho, and ending at the Jordan River.
From Tapua to the west, to the Cana River, and straight to the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Ephraim according to their families.
In addition, they obtained some cities and villages belonging to the city in the inheritance of the Manasseh people. These are all distributed to the descendants of Ephraim.
They did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer. But the Canaanites lived among the Ephraimites and became servants of forced labor to this day.
