Joshua_Chapter 13
Joshua is old and old, and the Lord said to him, You are old and old, and there is still a lot of land that has not been acquired,
It is all the territory of the Philistines and all the land of the Geshurites.
From the Sihor River in front of Egypt to the border of Ekron, it is considered a land belonging to the Canaanites. The land of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, which were under the jurisdiction of the five leaders of the Philistines, and the land of the southern Avites.
And there was all the land of the Canaanites, and Miarah belonging to the Sidonians, as far as Aph, and as far as the border of the Amorites.
And there is the land of the people of Gebal, and all Lebanon that faces the sunrise, from Baalgad at the root of Mount Hermon to the mouth of Hamath.
I will drive out all the inhabitants of the mountains, from Lebanon to Mizriphmaim, all the Sidonians, before the Israelites. Just as I commanded you, divide this land by lot among the Israelites as an inheritance.
Now you will divide this land among the nine tribes and the half tribe of Manasseh as an inheritance.
The half tribe of Manasseh and the two tribes of Reuben and Gad have received their inheritance, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave them on the east side of the Jordan River,
From Aroer by the valley of Arnon and the cities in the valley, as well as from all the plains of Medeba to Dibon,
And the cities of King Sihon of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the borders of the children of Ammon.
And there were also the borders of Gilead, Geshur, and Maacah, as well as all the mountains of Hermon and all the land of Bashan, as far as Zachariah.
There is also the kingdom of Bashan King Og. He reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei (only he remained among the people of Rephaim). The people of these lands were all killed and driven out by Moses.
But the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maachaites. These people still reside in Israel until today.
But Moses did not distribute his inheritance to the tribe of Levi. Their inheritance is an offering made by fire to the Lord, the God of Israel, as the Lord promised them.
Moses divided the inheritance among the tribe of Reuben according to their families.
Their territory is Aroer by the valley of Arnon and the city in the valley, all the plains near Medeba.
Heshbon belonged to all the cities in the plain of Heshbon, including Dibon, Bamb Baal, and Beth Baal Mian,
Yaza, Kekimo, Miphaab,
Kiriatyn, Sibimah, and Selehahashah in the valley,
Beppir, the slopes of Pisgah, and Bejesimoth.
The cities of the plain, and the entire kingdom of King Sihon of the Amorites. This Sihon once reigned in Heshbon, and Moses killed him and the chiefs of Midian’s clan, Evi, Rekkim, Zur, Hur, and Libah. These are all led by Xihong, who lives in that area.
At that time, the Israelites also killed Balaam the magician, the son of Beor, with the sword among the people they killed.
The boundary of the Reubenites is the Jordan River and the land near it. The above are the cities and their villages that the Reubenites inherited according to their clans.
Moses divided the inheritance among the tribe of Gad according to their families.
Their territory is Jazer and the cities of Gilead, as well as half of the land of the Ammonites, as far as Aroer in front of Rabbah.
From Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Bedonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,
And in the valley, Beth Aram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zafen, which are the margins of the kingdom of King Sihon of Heshbon, as well as the Jordan River and the land near the Jordan River, all of which are on the east side of the Jordan River.
The above are the cities and their villages that the Gadites inherited according to their clans.
Moses divided the inheritance among the half tribe of Manasseh according to their families.
Their territory began from Mahanaim, including all the land of Bashan, including the entire kingdom of King Og of Bashan, and all the cities of Jair in Bashan, totaling sixty.
Half of Gilead, along with Ashtaroth and Edrei, the two cities belonging to the kingdom of Og, king of Bashan, were given to the descendants of Machir, the son of Manasseh, according to their families.
The above is the inheritance that Moses distributed to them in the plains of Moab on the east side of the Jordan River, facing Jericho.
But Moses did not distribute his inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The Lord, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as the Lord promised them.
