Rise and shine. For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has found and illuminated you.

See, darkness covers the earth, and darkness covers all nations. But the Lord will appear and shine upon you, and his glory will come upon you.

All nations will come for your light, and kings will come for the radiance you have discovered.

You lift your eyes and look around. Everyone gathered around you. Your sons came from afar, and your daughters were also embraced.

When you see it, there is glory, and your heart beats and is open. For the abundant goods of the sea shall return to you, and the treasures of the nations shall also return to you.

A flock of camels, along with the dromedaries of Midian and Ephraim, will cover you. All the people of Sheba will come. Offering gold and frankincense, and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.

The flocks of Kedah will gather with you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be used by you. I will find favor on my altar. I will glorify my glorious temple.

Who are those who fly like clouds and fly back to the window like doves?

The islands will wait for me, first of all, the ships of Tarshish will bring your sons, including their gold and silver, from afar, for the name of the Lord your God and the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

The foreigners will build your city walls, and their kings will serve you. I was once angry and struck you, but now I show kindness and mercy to you.

Your city gates will always be open, not closed day or night, so that people may bring the wealth of the nations to you and bring their kings.

Any nation or kingdom that does not serve you will perish and be completely abandoned.

The glory of Lebanon, the pine tree, the fir tree, and the boxwood tree, will all belong to you together, to beautify the land of my sanctuary. I also want to give glory to where I stand.

Those who have always mistreated you, their descendants will all bow down to you. Those who despise you will kneel at your feet. They will call you the city of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Although you have been abandoned and despised, even without anyone passing by, I have made you an eternal glory, a joy for generations to come.

You will also eat the milk of all nations and the milk of kings. You will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

I will replace copper with gold, iron with silver, wood with copper, and stone with iron. And make peace your ruler, and righteousness your supervisor.

You will no longer hear violence on the earth, nor will you hear desolation and destruction within your borders. You will call your walls salvation, and your doors praise.

The sun will no longer be the light of your day, and the moon will no longer shine on you. But the Lord will be your eternal light, and your God will be your glory.

Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not shrink. For the Lord will be your eternal light, and your days of mourning have come to an end.

Your inhabitants have become righteous and will forever possess the land as an inheritance. It is the plant I have planted and the work of my hands that has brought me glory.

The smallest tribe will increase by a thousand times, and the weaker country will become strong. I, the Lord, will do this quickly and regularly.
