Isaiah_Chapter 7
During the reign of King Ahaz of Judah, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah of Israel, the son of Remaliah, came up to attack Jerusalem, but they were unable to take it.
Someone told the house of David that Aram had formed an alliance with Ephraim. The hearts of the king and the people trembled, as if the trees in the forest were moved by the wind.
The Lord said to Isaiah, “Go out and meet Ahaz with your son Shiahyash at the head of the ditch in the upper pool, on the road to the washcloth field.”.
Tell him to be cautious and quiet. Do not be afraid of the fierce anger of King Rezin of Aram and the son of Remaliah, the two smoking torches, and do not be afraid in your heart.
Because Aram, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah plotted evil against you,
Let us go up and attack Judah, disturb it, break it down, and make the son of Tabiel king in it.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, This counsel shall not stand, nor shall it be accomplished.
Originally, the capital of Aram was Damascus, and the leader of Damascus was Rezin. Within 65 years, Ephraim will inevitably be destroyed and will no longer become a nation.
The capital of Ephraim is Samaria, and the leader of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you don’t believe, you will definitely not be able to stand firm.
And the Lord spake to Ahaz, saying,
Ask the Lord your God for a sign. Either seek to appear deep, or seek to appear high.
Ahaz said, I will not seek, I will not test the Lord.
Isaiah said, O house of David, hear. Is it a small matter for you to make people weary, and will you also make my God weary?
Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign that a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and he will name her Immanuel. (It means that God is with us)
When he knows to abandon evil and choose good, he will eat cream and honey.
Because before this child knows how to abandon evil and choose good, the land of the two kings that you detest will be abandoned.
The Lord will bring the day when the king of Assyria will attack you. You, your people, and your father’s house have not had such a day since Ephraim left Judah.
At that time, the Lord will make a sound, causing flies from the headwaters of the rivers in Egypt and bees from the land of Assyria to fly.
They will all fly and land in desolate valleys, in the holes of rocks, in all thorny fences, and on all meadows.
At that time, the Lord will use a razor rented from outside the Great River, the king of Assyria, to shave off his hair and the hair on his feet, and to shave his beard clean.
At that time, a person had to feed one female calf and two female sheep.
Because he produces a lot of milk, he has to eat cream. All those who remain within the territory must eat cream and honey.
Once upon a time, every place that planted a thousand grape trees worth a thousand shekels of silver will grow thorns and thorns.
When people go up there, they will bring bows and arrows, because the land is full of thorns and thorns.
All the mountains dug with hoes, you dare not go up there for fear of thorns and thorns. It can only become a place for cattle to graze and a place for sheep to trample on.
