Genesis_Chapter 21

The Lord favored Sarah as he had said before, and did as he had said to Sarah.

When Abraham was old, Sarah became pregnant. At the time God spoke, he gave birth to a son for Abraham.

Abraham named the son born to Sarah Isaac.

On the eighth day of Isaac’s birth, Abraham circumcised him as God had commanded him.

Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born.

Sarah said, God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.

And he said, Who could have said to Abraham beforehand that Sarah would nurse infants? Because when he was old, I gave birth to a son for him.

As the child grew older, it stopped breastfeeding. On the day Isaac was weaned, Abraham made a sumptuous feast.

At that time, Sarah saw the son born to Abraham by Hagar the Egyptian mocking him,

And he said to Abraham, Drive out this servant girl and her son, for the son of this servant girl shall not inherit the inheritance with my son Isaac.

Abraham was very sad because of his son.

God said to Abraham, “Don’t worry about this boy or your servant girl.”. Listen to everything Sarah says to you. Because those born from Isaac will be called your descendants.

As for the son of the maidservant, I will also make his descendants establish a nation, because he is your birth.

Abraham got up early in the morning, took bread and a skin of water, gave it to Hagar, placed it on her shoulder, and handed the child over to her to send her away. Xia Jia left and got lost in the wilderness of Beersheba.

When the water in the leather bag ran out, Xia Jia left the child under the small tree,

I walked away about an arrow away and sat opposite each other, saying, “I can’t bear to see my child die, so I sat opposite each other and cried loudly.”.

God heard the voice of the boy. The angel of God called out to Hagar from heaven, saying, Hagar, why are you doing this? Don’t be afraid, God has already heard the voice of the boy.

Get up and hold the young boy in your arms, and I will make his descendants a great nation.

God made Hagar’s eyes bright, and she saw a well of water. She went and filled the skin bag with water, giving the boy a drink.

God blessed the boy, and he grew up and lived in the wilderness, becoming an archer.

He lives in the wilderness of Balan. His mother married him a wife from Egypt.

At that time, Abimelech and his commander Phicol said to Abraham, ‘God bless everything you do.’.

I swear by God here that you will not bully me, my sons, or my descendants. Just as I have treated you well, you must also treat me and the people you reside in this land well.

Abraham said, I am willing to swear.

Once upon a time, Abimelech’s servants occupied a well of water, and Abraham accused Abimelech of this.

Abimelech said, I do not know who did this, and you did not tell me. I only heard it today.

Abraham gave the sheep and ox to Abimelech, and the two of them made a covenant with each other.

Abraham placed seven ewe lambs in one place.

Abimelech asked Abraham, “What do you mean by putting these seven ewe lambs in one place?”?

He said, Take these seven ewe lambs from my hand as evidence for me to dig this well.

So he named that place Beersheba, because the two of them swore there. (Don’t be Ba, it’s the well of the oath)

They made a covenant in Beersheba, and Abimelech and his commander Phicol got up and returned to the land of the Philistines.

Abraham planted a weeping willow tree in Beersheba and called upon the name of the Lord, the living God, there.

Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for many days.
