Exodus_Chapter 14

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Command the Israelites to turn back and camp in front of Bihahiroth, between Mitoth and the sea, facing Baal Zephon and near the sea.

Pharaoh will say, The Israelites have gone astray in the land, and the wilderness has trapped them.

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, he will pursue them, and I will be honored in Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord. So the Israelites did this.

Someone told the king of Egypt that the people were fleeing. And Pharaoh and his servants changed their hearts to the people, saying, What is this that we have done to let the Israelites go and no longer serve us?

Pharaoh prepared his chariots and led his army along,

And he brought six hundred specially selected chariots and all the chariots of Egypt, each with a chariot commander.

The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and he pursued the Israelites, because they had come out of Egypt with great courage and fearlessness.

The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, cavalry, and army caught up with them on the beach near Bihahiroth, facing Baal Zephon, at their camp.

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites lifted up their eyes and saw the Egyptians rushing towards them. They were greatly afraid and cried out to the Lord.

They said to Moses, Is there no burial ground in Egypt? Have you brought us to die in the wilderness? Why did you treat us like this and bring us out of Egypt?

Have we not told you in Egypt not to disturb us and allow us to serve the Egyptians? Because serving the Egyptians is better than dying in the wilderness.

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid, just stand still and see the salvation that the Lord will bring to you today.”. Because the Egyptians you see today will never see again.

The Lord will fight for you; remain silent and remain silent.

The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to me?”? You command the Israelites to move forward.

You raise your hand and reach out to the sea to separate the water. The Israelites will go into the sea and walk on dry land.

I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will follow. I will be honored on Pharaoh and his entire army, vehicles, and cavalry.

When I am glorified in Pharaoh and his chariots and horsemen, the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.

The messengers of God who went before the camp of Israel turned behind them, and the pillar of cloud also turned from before them and stood behind them.

There is a pillar of cloud between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel, which is dark on one side and shining on the other, and cannot be approached twice throughout the night.

Moses stretched out his staff towards the sea, and the Lord used a strong east wind to cause the sea to recede overnight. The water then separated, and the sea became dry land.

The Israelites went into the sea and walked on dry land, and the water made walls on their left and right sides.

The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and cavalry followed them down into the sea.

At the morning watch, the Lord looked at the Egyptian army from the pillar of fire and cloud, causing chaos among the Egyptian army,

And they caused their wheels to fall off, making it difficult for them to walk, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from before the Israelites, for the Lord has made them attack us.

The Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your rod towards the sea, so that the water may still be on the Egyptians, their chariots, and their horsemen.”.

Moses stretched out his staff towards the sea, and as soon as dawn broke, the sea continued to recover. When the Egyptians fled from the water, the Lord overthrew them into the sea,

The water flowed back and submerged the vehicles and cavalry. There was not even one left of Pharaoh’s entire army who followed the Israelites down to the sea.

But the Israelites walked on dry land in the sea, and the water became walls on their left and right sides.

On that day, the Lord saved the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians, and the Israelites saw that all the Egyptian corpses were by the sea.

When the Israelites saw the great things that the Lord had done to the Egyptians, they feared the Lord and believed in him and his servant Moses.
