Deuteronomy_Chapter 26

You have gone in and taken the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance to dwell in,

Take some of the firstfruits of the land that the Lord your God has given you, put them in baskets, and go to the dwelling place that the Lord your God has chosen to establish as his name,

And when he saw the priest at that time, he said to him, I acknowledge to the Lord your God today that I have come to the land that the Lord swore to our ancestors to give us.

The priest will take the basket from your hand and place it in front of the altar of the Lord your God.

You shall say before the Lord your God, My ancestors were a dying Arameans who went down to Egypt to sojourn. He had a sparse population, but there he became a large and strong citizen with a large number of people.

The Egyptians mistreated us, persecuted us, and imposed hard labor on us.

So we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who heard our voice and saw our suffering, toil, and oppression,

And he led us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror and miracles and wonders,

Lead us into this place and give us this land flowing with milk and honey.

O Lord, now I have brought the firstfruits of the land that you have given me. Then you shall put the basket before the Lord your God and bow down to the Lord your God.

You and the Levites, as well as those who reside among you, will rejoice in all the blessings that the Lord your God has given you and your family.

Every three years, which is the year of ten tenths, after you have taken one tenth of all the land, you shall divide it among the Levites, the sojourners, and the orphans and widows, so that they may have enough to eat in your city.

And you shall say before the Lord your God, ‘I have taken the holy things out of my house and given them to the Levites, the sojourners, and the orphans and widows, as you have commanded me.’. I have not disobeyed any of your commands, nor have I forgotten them.

When I was mourning, I did not eat this sacred object. When it was unclean, it was not taken out or sent to the dead. I have obeyed the word of the Lord my God, and have done as you have commanded me.

Look down from heaven, from your holy place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us, which you swore to our ancestors to give us a land flowing with milk and honey.

The Lord your God commands you today to do these laws and regulations, so you must keep them with all your heart and soul.

You acknowledge the Lord as your God today, promising to walk in his ways, to keep his laws, commandments, and judgments, and to obey his voice.

The Lord recognizes you today as his people, as he promised you, to keep all his commandments,

And he will give you praise, a good name, and honor above all the nations he has made, and will make you a holy people to the Lord your God, as he promised.
