Acts of the Apostles_Chapter 2

Pentecost is here, and all the disciples gather together.

Suddenly, a sound came from the sky, as if a strong wind had blown by, filling the room where they were sitting.

And tongues appeared like flames, spreading and falling on each of their heads.

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in the words of other nations according to the eloquence given by the Holy Spirit.

At that time, devout Jews came from all over the world and lived in Jerusalem.

As soon as the sound was heard, everyone gathered together. Everyone heard their disciples speaking in their local dialect and was greatly puzzled.

Everyone was surprised and surprised, saying, “Look, aren’t all these speakers from Galilee?”?

How can we all hear them say that we were born with the local dialect?

We Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and those who live in Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, and Asia,

Phrygia, Pamphylia, and the people of Egypt, as well as the people from the region of Lybia near Cyrene, among the travelers from Rome, whether they were Jews or those who entered Judaism,

Both the Cretans and the Arabians heard them speak in our village, proclaiming the great works of God.

And everyone was surprised and suspicious, and they said to each other, What does this mean?

Some people mocked and said that they were just filling up with new wine.

Peter and the eleven apostles stood up and shouted loudly, “Jews and all those who live in Jerusalem, be aware of this matter and listen to my words.”.

You think these people are drunk, but they are not actually drunk because it’s just early morning.

This is exactly what the prophet Joel said.

God said, In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your children shall prophesy. Your young people want to see a vision. Elderly people should have strange dreams.

In those days, I will pour my spirit on my servants and maids, and they will prophesy.

I will show wonders in heaven, and miracles on earth, with blood, fire, and smoke.

The sun will turn into darkness, and the moon will turn into blood, before the great and obvious days of the Lord come.

At that time, anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

O Israelites, please listen to my words. God, through Jesus the Nazarene, has performed miracles, wonders, and miracles among you, proving him, as you yourselves know.

Since he was delivered to man according to God’s decree and foresight, you have crucified him and killed him through the hands of the powerless.

But God explained the pain of death and resurrected him. Because he could not have been detained by death.

David pointed to him and said, “I see the Lord always in front of me, he is on my right hand, so that I may not be shaken.”.

So my heart rejoices, and my tongue rejoices. And my physical body will settle in hope.

For you will not leave my soul in the underworld, nor will you let your Holy One see corruption.

You have shown me the path of life, so that I may find satisfaction and joy in your presence.

Brothers, regarding the matter of our ancestor David, I can clearly say to you that he died and was buried, and his tomb is still with us to this day.

David is both a prophet and knows that God has sworn to him to appoint one of his descendants to sit on his throne.

He foresaw this matter and spoke about the resurrection of Christ, saying, His soul is not left in the underworld, and His flesh does not see decay.

God has resurrected this Jesus, and we all bear witness to this.

He was lifted up by the right hand of God, and received the promised Holy Spirit from the Father, and poured out what you saw and heard.

David did not ascend to heaven, but he said to himself, The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit on my right hand.’,

Wait for me to make your enemies your footstool.

Therefore, let all Israel truly know that God has made this Jesus, whom you have crucified, Lord as Christ.

When they heard these words, they felt heartbroken and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”.

Peter said, Repent every one of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the Holy Spirit given.

For this promise is for you, your children, and all those who are far away, whom the Lord our God has called.

Peter also testified with many words, exhorting them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

So those who received his words were baptized, and on that day, about three thousand disciples were added.

We all persistently abide by the teachings of the apostles, hand them over to each other, break bread, and pray.

Everyone is afraid. The apostles performed many miracles and miracles.

Those who believe are all in one place, everything is common.

And he sold his land and possessions, and divided them among everyone according to their needs.

They agreed with one heart every day, constantly breaking bread in the temple and at home, and eating with joy and honesty,

Praise God and be loved by all the people. Give to those who are saved by the Lord every day.
