I saw the master standing next to the altar. He said, Strike the top of the pillar, make the threshold tremble, break the top of the pillar, and fall on the heads of the people. I will slaughter the remaining people with the sword. No one can escape, no one can escape.

Although they dig through the underworld, my hand will take them out. Although I climb up to the sky, I will bring them down.

Although hidden at the top of Carmel, I will search and catch them. Although hidden under the sea from before my eyes, I will command snakes to bite them.

Although they are taken captive by their enemies, I will command the sword to slay them. I will set my eyes on them. To bring disaster but not good fortune.

The Lord, the Lord of hosts, touches the earth, and it digests; all who dwell on the earth will mourn. The earth will rise up completely like the Nile, like the river of Egypt falling down.

The Lord is his name, who builds towers in heaven, stabilizes the heavens on earth, and commands the sea to pour water on the earth.

The Lord said, O Israel, will I not see you as the Ethiopians? Am I not leading the Israelites out of the land of Egypt, the Philistines out of Caphtor, and the Arameans out of Kir?

The eyes of the Lord Jehovah examine this sinful nation. I will destroy this country from the earth, but I will not completely destroy the house of Jacob. This is what the Lord has said.

I will issue a decree to scatter the house of Israel among the nations, like sifting grain through a sieve, so that not a single grain falls to the ground.

All the sinners among my people say, Disaster will not catch up with us, nor will it meet us. They will die by the sword.

On that day, I will build the collapsed tent of David, block the breaches in it, and rebuild the ruins, just like in ancient times.

So that the Israelites may possess the remnants of Edom and all the kingdoms called by my name. This is what the Lord, who did this, has said.

The days are coming, says the Lord, when the tiller will succeed the reaper, and the thresher of grapes will succeed the sower. The mountains will drip sweet wine, and the small mountains will flow with milk.

I will bring back the captives of my people Israel, and they will rebuild their abandoned cities to dwell in, plant vineyards, and drink the wine that comes out of them; Build an orchard and eat the fruits inside.

I will plant them in my own land, and they will no longer be uprooted from the land I have given them. This is what the Lord your God has said.
