Here are David’s last words. David, the son of Jesse, ascended to a high position, anointed by the God of Jacob, and became a beautiful singer of Israel, saying,

The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me, and his words are in my mouth.

The God of Israel, the Rock of Israel, prophesied to me, ‘Those who govern the people with righteousness, those who fear God and hold power.’,

He will be like the morning light of sunrise, like the morning without clouds, the clear light after rain, causing the earth to grow tender grass.

My family is not like this in front of God. But God has made an eternal covenant with me. This covenant is steadfast in all things, concerning all my salvation and all my desires. Will he not fulfill it for me?

But the bandits will be discarded like thorns. People dare not hold it with their hands.

Those who take it will bring iron tools and spears, and in the end it will be burned by fire.

The names of David’s warriors are recorded below. He was the commander of the army and killed eight hundred people in one fell swoop.

Next was Eleazar, the son of Dodo, an Ahite. Once upon a time, the Philistines gathered to fight, and the Israelites went up against them. Three warriors who followed David cursed at the Philistines, including Eleazar.

He got up and killed the Philistines until his arms were tired and his hand stuck to the handle of the knife. On that day, the Lord brought a great and complete victory to the Israelites. After Eleazar, all the people were dedicated to plundering wealth.

Next was Shamah, the son of Aki the Haralite. One day, the Philistines gathered in groups in a field full of red beans, and all the people fled in front of the Philistines.

But Shamah stood in the field and killed the Philistines, rescuing the field. The Lord brought great and complete victory to the Israelites.

During the harvest, three of the thirty warriors went down to the cave of Adullam to see David. The army of the Philistines camped in the valley of Rephain.

At that time, David was in the fortress, and the garrison of the Philistines was in Bethlehem.

David longed and said, “I wish someone could bring me water from the well by the gate of Bethlehem to drink.”.

These three warriors broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well by the gate of Bethlehem, and brought it to David. But he refused to drink, and poured out water before the Lord,

And he said, O Lord, these three men risked their lives to fetch water. This water is like their blood, I dare not drink it. So David refused to drink. This is what three brave warriors did.

Abishai, the son of Zeruiah and the brother of Joab, was the leader of these three warriors. He raised his gun and killed three hundred people, earning a name among the three brave warriors.

He is the most esteemed among these three warriors, so he is their leader, but he is not as noble as the first three warriors.

Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a warrior of Jiaxue, has done great deeds. He killed the two sons of Ariel the Moab, and went down into a pit during the snow, killing a lion,

Killed another strong Egyptian. The Egyptian held a spear in his hand, while Benaiah went down with a stick and took the spear from the Egyptian’s hand, using it to kill him.

This is what Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, did, and he was named among the three warriors.

He is more noble than the thirty warriors, but not as noble as the first three. David appointed him as the captain of the guard.

Among the thirty warriors, Asahel, the brother of Joab, and Elhanan, the son of Dodo from Bethlehem,

Shamah the Harloth, Elikah the Harloth,

Hillis the Parthian, Elah the son of Yigi the Tekoite,

Abiezer the Anathoth and Mibenai the Husha,

Samon the Ahite, Maharai the Netherite,

Herod the son of Banah the Netherite, and Ether the son of Libai the Gibeaite, of the Benjamite tribe,

Benaiah the Beratonite, Hittite the Kashgar Creek,

Abiaben the Arabahite and Azmaphth the Barumite,

Elijah Habbah, Jonathan, one of the sons of Jashan,

Shamah the Haralite, Ahiam the son of Salah the Haralite,

Eliphaliel the son of Ahabai the Maachaite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

Hezlai the Carmelite, Palei the Aba,

Icar the son of Nathan the Zobah, Bani the Gad,

Zel the Ammonite and Nahalai the Berothite were weapons bearers for Joab the son of Zeruiah,

Elah the Hittite, Caleb the Hittite,

Uriah the Hittite had a total of thirty-seven people.
