During David’s reign, there was a famine, and for three consecutive years, David asked the Lord. The Lord said, This famine is because Saul and his bloodthirsty house killed the Gibeonites.

So this Gibeonite is not an Israelite, but a remnant of the Amorites. The Israelites swore to them not to kill them, but Saul was filled with enthusiasm for the Israelites and the Jews, wanting to kill them. King David summoned them,

Ask them, “What should I do for you?”? What can you redeem this sin so that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?

The Gibeonites replied, “Our relationship with Saul and his family is not related to gold or silver, nor should we kill any Israelite because of our fate.”. David said, Whatever you say, I will do for you.

They said to the king, Those who conspired against us before to destroy us, so that we may no longer dwell in the land of Israel,

Now may his seven descendants be handed over to us, so that we may hang them before the Lord in Gibeah, where the Lord has chosen Saul. The king said, I will deliver it to you.

There was another battle in Gath, where there was a tall man with six fingers on both hands and feet, totaling twenty-four fingers. He is also the son of great men.

This man cursed at the Israelites, and Jonathan son of Shimiah, David’s brother, killed him.

These four were the sons of the great man of Gath, all of whom died under the hands of David and his servants.
