Samuel's note_Chapter 7

The king resides in his own palace, and the Lord gives him peace from being disturbed by his enemies on all sides.

At that time, the king said to the prophet Nathan, “Look, I am living in a palace of cedar wood, and the ark of God is inside the curtain.”.

Nathan said to the king, “Do according to your heart, for the Lord is with you.”.

That night, the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,

Go and tell my servant David, saying, This is what the Lord says: Shall you build a house for me to dwell in?

Since I led the Israelites out of Egypt to this day, I have never resided in a temple and have always walked in the tabernacle of the congregation and in the tabernacle.

Wherever I go with the Israelites, have I ever said to the judges of one tribe of Israel, who I commanded to feed my people Israel, Why did you not build me a house of cedar wood?

Now tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of hosts says:’ I have summoned you from the sheepfold, so that you will no longer follow the flock and make you ruler over my people Israel. ‘.

Wherever you go, I will always be with you, cutting off all your enemies. I will give you a great name, just like the great and famous people in the world.

I will choose a place for my people Israel and cultivate them, so that they may live in their own place and not move again. The ferocious son is not as troubling as before,

It’s not like when I ordered judges to rule over my people Israel. I will make you at peace and not be disturbed by any enemy, and I, the Lord, have promised you that I will build a house for you.

When your age is fulfilled and you sleep with your ancestors, I will make your descendants inherit your throne. I will also strengthen his kingdom.

He will build a temple for my name. I will strengthen his throne forever.

I will be his father, he will be my son. If he sins, I will punish him with a human rod and punish him with a human whip.

But my love still does not leave him, just like leaving the abandoned Saul before you.

Your home and your kingdom will be established before you forever. Your throne will also be steadfast forever.

Nathan told David according to all these words and according to this revelation.

So King David went in and sat before the Lord, saying, O Lord Jehovah, who am I. What is my home. How could you bring me to this point?

O Lord GOD, this is still small in your eyes, and you have promised your servant’s house for a long time. O Lord GOD, is this a common occurrence among men?

O Lord GOD, what else can I say to you? Because you know your servant.

You have done this great thing to make your servants aware, because of your promise and according to your will.

O Lord GOD, you are great, as we have heard in our ears, there is no one like you. There is no other god besides you.

What people in the world can compare to your people Israel? You redeemed them from Egypt as your own people, and carried out great and terrifying acts in front of the people you redeemed, driving out the nations and their gods, and revealing your great name.

You have established your people Israel as your people forever. You, Lord, have also become their God.

O Lord God, be steadfast in the word you have promised your servants and their families forever. Do as you say.

May your name forever be honored, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God who governs Israel. So the house of your servant David will be established before you.

O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, because you have revealed to your servants that I will build a house for you, so your servants have the courage to pray to you like this.

O Lord GOD, you alone are God. Your words are true. You also promise to bestow this blessing on your servant.

Now bless the house of your servant, that it may endure before you forever. O Lord GOD, this is what you have promised. May you bless your servant’s home forever.
