Leviticus_Chapter 1

The Lord called out to Moses from the tent of meeting and said to him,

Speak to the Israelites, saying, If any of you offer an offering to the Lord, you shall offer livestock as an offering from your herds of cattle and sheep.

If his offering is a burnt offering of an ox, he shall offer a bull without blemish at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, which shall be accepted before the Lord.

He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and the burnt offering shall be accepted, and he shall make atonement for him.

He shall slaughter the bull before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons, who are priests, shall offer blood and sprinkle it at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting and around the altar.

That person is going to peel off the skin of the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.

The descendants of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and set the firewood on the fire.

Aaron’s descendants, who are priests, are to place the pieces of meat, head, and fat on the burning wood on the altar.

But the organs and legs of the burnt offering must be washed with water. The priest shall burn everything on the altar as a burnt offering, and offer it to the Lord as a fragrant offering made by fire.

If a person’s offering is a burnt offering of sheep or goats, they must offer a male lamb without any blemish.

The sheep shall be slaughtered on the north side of the altar before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons as priests shall sprinkle the blood of the sheep around the altar.

The burnt offering shall be cut into pieces, including the head and the fat, and the priest shall set it on the burning wood on the altar.

But the organs and legs shall be washed with water, and the priest shall offer them completely and burn them on the altar. This is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire to the Lord as a fragrant aroma.

If a person’s offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, they must offer a dove or a young pigeon as their offering.

The priest shall bring the bird to the altar, pull its head down, and burn it on the altar, with its blood flowing on the side of the altar.

And remove the crop and feathers of the bird, and throw them to the east side of the altar where the ashes are poured out.

Take the two wings of the bird and tear it open, but do not tear it off. The priest shall burn it on the altar and on the wood of the fire. This is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire to the Lord as a fragrant aroma.
