Leviticus_Chapter 5
If anyone hears the sound of swearing, he is a witness but does not speak out what he sees or knows, and this is sin, and he shall bear his iniquity.
Or someone may touch something unclean, whether it is an unclean dead beast, an unclean dead animal, or an unclean dead insect, but they do not know, and therefore become unclean and guilty.
Or maybe he touched someone else’s filth, no matter what kind of filth he got, but he didn’t know, and as soon as he found out, he became guilty.
Or someone may swear recklessly in their mouth to do evil and good, but no matter what they swear recklessly in, they do not know, and as soon as they know, they will be guilty in one of these things.
When he commits a crime, he must admit it,
And for the sins he has committed, he shall bring his guilt offering to the Lord as a sin offering, whether it be a ewe or a lamb or a goat from the flock. As for his sin, the priest shall redeem him.
If his strength is not enough to offer a lamb, he shall bring two doves or two young pigeons before the Lord as a guilt offering for his sins, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.
Bring these to the priest, and the priest must first offer the offering of atonement, pulling the bird’s head off its neck, but not tearing it off,
Also sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering beside the altar, and the remaining blood shall flow at the feet of the altar. This is the sin offering.
He shall offer the second one as a burnt offering as usual. As for the sins he has committed, the priest shall redeem him, and he shall be forgiven.
If his strength is not enough to offer two doves or two young pigeons, he must bring an offering for his sins, which is one tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He must not add oil or frankincense, because it is a sin offering.
He shall bring the offering to the priest, and the priest shall take out his own handful as a memorial, and burn it on the altar according to the provisions of the offering made by fire to the Lord. This is a sin offering.
As for the sins he committed in these things, the priest shall redeem him, and he shall be forgiven. The remaining flour belongs to the priest, just like a grain offering.
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
If a person sins by mistake in the holy things of the Lord and commits an offense, then according to your estimation, you shall take silver according to the shekel of the holy place and bring the guilt offering, which is a ram without blemish from the flock, to the Lord as a guilt offering.
And due to his mistake in the sacred objects, he needs to repay, and an additional one-fifth will be given to the priests. The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and he shall be forgiven.
If anyone commits a crime and does anything that the Lord has commanded to be unworkable, even though he does not know, he still commits a sin and must bear his iniquity.
And according to your estimation, bring a male sheep without any blemish from the flock as a guilt offering to the priest. As for his wrongdoing, the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.
This is a guilt offering, because he has truly sinned before the Lord.
