Book of Ezekiel_Chapter 21

The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and the holy place, and drop prophecies against the land of Israel.

And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the Lord, I am against you, and I will draw my sword out of its sheath, cutting off the righteous and the wicked from among you.

I will cut off the righteous and the wicked from among you, so my sword will unsheath and attack all flesh from south to north.

All flesh knows that I, the Lord, have drawn my sword out of its sheath and will no longer enter its sheath.

Son of man, sigh, bow down before their eyes, sigh bitterly.

They asked you, why do you sigh? You just say that disaster is coming because of rumors. The human heart will digest, the hands will be weak, the spirit will decline, and the knees will be weak like water. Look, this disaster is approaching and will surely come to fruition. This is what the Lord Jehovah has said.

The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Son of man, prophesy. The Lord commanded me, saying, There is a sword, and a sword is sharpened and polished.

Sharpen to kill, polish to lightning. Can we be happy? My son’s rod is contemptuous of every tree.

This knife has been handed over to someone for polishing, in order to be used skillfully. This knife has been sharpened and polished, so it is easy to hand over to those who engage in slaughter.

Son of man, cry out and mourn, for this sword has come upon my people and all the leaders of Israel. They and my people are all under the sword, so you must pat your legs and sigh.

There is an experiment involved. What if that contemptuous rod returns to nothingness? This is what the Lord Jehovah has said.

Son of man, clap your hands and prophesy. I, the Lord, will make this sword, the sword that causes death and injury, double and pierce people three times in a row, entering their inner chambers, and it will be this sword that causes death and injury to men.

I have set up this terrifying sword against all their gates, to make their hearts digest and increase their falling. Hey. This knife is made like lightning, sharpened sharp, ready for slaughter.

Knife, put it on the right side and put it on the left side. Kill whichever side you face.

I will also clap my hands and make my anger cease. This is what the Lord has said.

The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,

Son of man, make two paths, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. These two roads must be separated from one place, and a hand must be drawn at the intersection of the city.

Make a path for the sword to come to Rabbah of the Ammonites. Make a path for the sword to come to Jerusalem, the fortified city of Judah.

Because the king of Babylon stood at a fork in the road, divining at two intersections. He shook an arrow to inquire about the deity and examine the sacrificial liver.

In his right hand he held a divination tablet for Jerusalem, to set up a ram, to open his mouth for slaughter, to raise his voice for shouting, to build a fortress and a platform, to strike the city gates with a ram.

According to those Jews who had sworn, this was a false divination. But the king of Babylon will make them remember their sins, so that they may be caught.

This is what the Lord GOD says: Because your sins have been revealed, your sins will be remembered, so that your sins will be revealed in your ways. And because you were remembered, you were caught.

O king of Israel, who has suffered death, injury, and done evil, the end of iniquity has come, and the day of retribution has come.

This is what the Lord GOD says: Take off the crown, take off the crown, and the situation will no longer be like before. To elevate the inferior to a higher level and lower the higher to a lower level.

I will overthrow this country, overthrow it, and overthrow it again. This country will no longer exist until the rightful one arrives, and I will give it to him.

Son of man, prophesy and say, This is what the Lord GOD has commanded me about the children of Ammon and their reproach: A sword, a drawn sword, polished for slaughter, to devour like lightning.

I have seen false visions for you and practiced deceitful divination, causing you to fall on the neck of the wicked who are wounded and dead. Their sins have come to an end, and the day of retribution has come.

You sheathe the knife. In the place where you were created and where you grew, I will punish you.

I will pour out my anger on you and spray the fiery fire of my anger on you. And I will hand you over to the hands of livestock people who are skilled at killing.

You will be burned as firewood, and your blood will flow into the land. You will no longer be remembered, for I, the Lord, have said this.
