There was no war between the Kingdom of Aram and the Kingdom of Israel for three years.

In the third year, King Jehoshaphat of Judah went down to meet the king of Israel.

The king of Israel said to his servants, Do you not know that Ramoth Gilead belongs to us? Can we sit still and not take it back from the hand of the king of Aram?

Ahab asked Jehoshaphat, “Will you come with me to attack Ramoth Gilead?”? Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, ‘We are not separated from each other, my people are like your people, and my horses are like your horses.’.

Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please first inquire with the Lord.”.

So the king of Israel gathered about four hundred prophets and asked them, “May I go up and take Ramoth Gilead?”. They said, Go up, for the Lord will deliver the city into the hand of the king.

Jehoshaphat said, Isn’t there still a prophet of the Lord here? May we ask him?

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man, Micaiah son of Imlah. Let us ask the Lord through him.”. I just hate him. Because he pointed to my prophecy and did not speak good words, but only spoke evil words. Jehoshaphat said, ‘The king does not need to say this.’.

The king of Israel summoned a eunuch and said, “Go quickly and call Micaiah the son of Imlah.”.

The king of Israel and the king of Judah, Jehoshaphat, were seated in court robes in front of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets prophesied before them.

Zedekiah, the son of Kenanah, made two iron horns and said, ‘This is what the Lord says:’ Use these horns to resist the Arameans until you have completely destroyed them. ‘.

All the prophets also prophesied in this way, saying, Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and you will surely triumph, because the Lord will deliver that city into the hands of the king.

Then go and summon the messengers of Micaiah and say to her. All the prophets spoke good words to the king in unison: why not speak the same words as them and also speak good words.

Micaiah said, As the living Lord liveth, I will say whatever the Lord says to me.

Micaiah came to the king and the king asked him, “Micaiah, can we go up and attack Ramoth Gilead?”. He replied, “Go up and you will surely triumph. The Lord will deliver the city into the king’s hand.”.

The king said to him, How many times should I charge you before you speak the truth to me in the name of the Lord?

Micaiah said, I have seen all the people of Israel scattered on the mountains, like a flock without a shepherd. The Lord said, This people have no master; they may return to their homes in peace.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Have I not told you that this man prophesied not of me, but of evil?

Micaiah said, “Listen to the word of the Lord.”. I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, with all the armies of heaven standing on his left and right.

The Lord said, “Who will lure Ahab up to Ramoth Gilead and die in battle?”? This is how it is said, that is how it is said.

Then a god came out and stood before the Lord, saying, I will go and lure him.

The Lord asked him, “What method are you using?”? He said, I will go and be a spirit of lies in the mouth of his prophets. And the Lord said, In this way, you will be able to lure him; go and do so.

Now the Lord has brought a spirit of lies into the mouth of you prophets, and the Lord has commanded disaster against you.

Zedekiah, the son of Kenanah, came and slapped Micaiah on the face, saying, Where did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?

Michaea said, “On the day you enter a tight room to hide, you will surely see it.”.

The king of Israel said, Bring Micaiah back and hand him over to Amon the governor of the city and Joash the king’s son

This is what the king said: Put this man in prison and make him suffer, not enough to eat or drink, and wait for me to return in peace.

Micaiah said, “If you can come back in peace, then the Lord has not spoken these words through me.”. And he said, O people, listen.

The king of Israel and the king of Judah Jehoshaphat went up to Ramoth Gilead.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will modify myself to go to battle, and you may still wear the king’s robe.”. The king of Israel disguised himself and went to battle.

First, the king of Aram commanded his thirty-two chariot commanders, saying, Do not fight against their generals, big or small, but only against the king of Israel.

When the chariot commander saw Jehoshaphat, he said, This must be the king of Israel. Then he turned around to fight against him, and Jehoshaphat shouted out.

The chariot commander saw that he was not the king of Israel, so he turned away and did not pursue him.

A man casually drew a bow and coincidentally shot it into the crevice of the armor of the king of Israel. Wang said to the driver, “I have been seriously injured. Turn around and take me out to battle.”.

On that day, the battle became increasingly fierce, and someone helped the king stand in the car, resisting the Arameans. At night, Wang died and blood flowed from the wound into the car.

At sunset, a decree spread throughout the army, saying, “Let each go to his own city, let each go to his own place.”.

After the king died, they sent him to Samaria and buried him there.

Some people washed his chariot by the pool in Samaria (where prostitutes bathed), and dogs came to lick his blood, as the Lord had said.

And all the other things that Ahab did, and all the ivory palaces that he built, and all the cities that he built, are written in the book of the kings of Israel.

Ahab slept with his ancestors. His son Ahaziah succeeded him as king.

In the fourth year of King Ahab of Israel, Jehoshaphat son of Asa became king of Judah.

Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem for twenty-five years. His mother’s name is Azubah, the daughter of Shilih.

Jehoshaphat walked in the way of his father Asa, not deviating from the right or left, and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. However, the mounds have not been abolished yet, and the people are still offering sacrifices and burning incense there.

Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.

The other events of Jehoshaphat, the strength he showed, and how he fought, are all written in the book of the kings of Judah.

Jehoshaphat removed all the remaining catapults of his father Asa from the land.

At that time, there was no king in Edom, but a governor ruled over it.

Jehoshaphat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir and bring gold. Just didn’t go because the ship was destroyed at Ezion Gabel.

Ahaziah, the son of Ahab, said to Jehoshaphat, “Let my servant and your servant go by boat together.”. But Jehoshaphat refused.

Jehoshaphat slept with his ancestors. Buried in the burial ground of his ancestors in the city of David. His son Joram succeeded him as king.

In the seventeenth year of King Jehoshaphat of Judah, Ahaziah son of Ahab began to reign in Samaria and reigned over Israel for a total of two years.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the example of his parents, and did the deeds of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.

He served and worshipped Baal, according to all that his father had done, and provoked the anger of the Lord God of Israel.
