There was a man named Micah in the mountains of Ephraim.

Micah returned the 1100 shekels of silver to his mother. His mother said, ‘I will divide this silver and offer it to the Lord for you, so that you can carve an image and cast it into an image.’. Now I’ll leave it to you.

Micah returned the silver to his mother, and her mother gave two hundred shekels of silver to a silversmith, who carved and cast an image, and placed it in Micah’s house.

Micah had a temple and made the ephod and household deities, appointing one of his sons as a priest.

At that time, there was no king in Israel, and everyone acted as they pleased.

There was a young man from Bethlehem, Judah, who was a Levite from the tribe of Judah and resided there.

This person left the city of Bethlehem in Judah to find a place to live. As we were on our way, we arrived at the hill country of Ephraim and walked to the house of Micah.

Micah asked him, “Where are you from?”. He replied, “From Bethlehem in Judah.”. I am a Levite, looking for a place to live.

Micah said, “Stay with me, and I will make you my father and priest.”. I give you ten shekels of silver each year, a set of clothes, and food for living. The Levites entered his house.

The Levites were willing to live with that person. The man looked at this young man like his own son.

Micah appointed the Levite of this young man as a priest, and he stayed in Micah’s house.

Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will bless me, because I have a Levite as a priest.”.
