The Lord gave them into the hands of Jabin, the king of Canaan who reigned in Hazor. His general was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

There was a prophetess named Deborah, the wife of Rabidoh, who was a judge of Israel at that time.

She lives between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, under the palm tree in Deborah. The Israelites all went up to her to listen and judge.

She sent messengers to summon Barak, the son of Abinoam, from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, ‘The Lord, the God of Israel, has commanded you to lead ten thousand Naphtali and Zebulun to Mount Tabor.’.

I will send Sisera, the general of Jebin, with his chariots and all his army, to you by the Kishon River. I will deliver him into your hands.

Someone told Sisera that Barak, the son of Abinoam, had already gone up Mount Tabor.

So Sisera gathered all nine hundred iron chariots and all his army that followed him, and went out from Harosheth of the Gentiles to the Kishon River.

Deborah said to Barak, “Get up! Today is the day when the Lord gives Sisera into your hands.”. Will not the Lord walk before you? So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand people followed him.

The Lord caused Sisera and all his chariots and the whole army to fall into confusion, and they were defeated by the sword before Lamian Noodles. Sicila got off the car and ran away on foot.

Barak pursued the chariots and army as far as Harosheth of the Gentiles. Sicily’s entire army fell by the sword, leaving no one behind.

Only Sisera fled on foot and arrived at the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because King Jebin of Hazor made peace with the family of Heber the Kenite.

Yael came out to welcome Sisera and said to him, “Come in, my lord, do not be afraid.”. Sisera entered her tent. Yayi was covered with a blanket.

Sisera was tired and asleep. Heber’s wife Jael took the tent pegs and, holding a hammer in her hand, quietly approached him and nailed the pegs into the ground from his temples. Sisera died.

When Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said, “Come, I will show you the person you are looking for.”. He entered the tent and saw Sisera dead, lying on the ground with the pin still in his temples.

So God subdued King Jebin of Canaan by the Israelites.

From then on, the hands of the Israelites became even stronger, and they overcame King Jebin of Canaan until they destroyed him.
