psalm_Chapter 9
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart. I will spread all your wonderful deeds.
I want to be happy and joyful because of you. O Most High, I will sing praises to your name.
When my enemies turned and retreated, they fell and perished when they saw your face.
Because you have already avenged me and defended me. You sit on your throne and judge in righteousness.
You once rebuked foreigners. You once exterminated the wicked. You have smeared their names forever and ever.
The enemy has come to an end. They were destroyed forever. You demolish their cities. Even their names belong to nothingness.
But the Lord sits as king forever. He has set up his throne for judgment.
He will judge the world with righteousness, and judge all nations with righteousness.
The Lord will make a high platform for those who are oppressed, and a high platform in times of trouble.
O Lord, those who know your name will trust in you. Because you have not abandoned those who seek you.
Sing praises to the Lord who resides in Zion, and proclaim his deeds among all the people.
Because he who seeks to punish the crime of shedding blood remembers the wronged and does not forget the cry of the poor.
O Lord, you lifted me up from the gates of death. Please have mercy on me. Look at the suffering that those who hate me have inflicted on me.
Tell me all your virtues. I will rejoice in your salvation at the gate of the city of Zion.
The foreigners are trapped in the pit they have dug. Their feet are entangled in their own hidden net.
The Lord has made himself clear, he has executed judgment. The wicked are entangled in the work of their own hands. (Fine pull)
The wicked, even the Gentiles who have forgotten God, will return to Sheol.
The poor will not be forever forgotten, and the hope of the poor will not be forever in vain.
Arise, O Lord, do not let anyone overcome. May the Gentiles be judged before you.
O Lord, make the nations afraid. May they know that they are just humans. (Fine pull)
