Leviticus_Chapter 19

The Lord said to Moses, Speak to the whole assembly of Israel, saying, You shall be holy, …

The Lord said to Moses,

Speak to the whole assembly of Israel, saying, You shall be holy, for I, the Lord your God, am holy.

Each of you should show filial piety to your parents and observe my Sabbath. I am the Lord your God.

Do not turn to vain gods, nor cast gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

When you offer a peace offering to the Lord, you must offer it in a pleasing way.

This sacrifice shall be eaten on the day of offering and the second day, and if there is any leftover until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.

If it is eaten again on the third day, it is detestable and will not be accepted.

Anyone who eats will bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy things of the Lord, and that person will be cut off from the people.

Harvest crops in your land, do not cut off all the corners of the field, and do not pick up what is left behind.

Do not harvest all the fruits of the vineyard, nor pick up the fruits that have fallen from the vineyard; leave them for the poor and the sojourners. I am the Lord your God.

You shall not steal, deceive, or lie to each other.

Do not swear falsely by my name and blaspheme the name of your God. I am Jehovah.

Do not oppress your neighbor, nor plunder his possessions. The wages of hired workers shall not stay overnight with you, but shall be kept until the morning.

Do not curse the deaf, nor place a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am Jehovah.

Do not be unjust in your judgment, do not show favoritism towards the poor, and do not value the powerful. Only judge your neighbors in righteousness.

Do not stir up trouble among the people, nor be enemies with your neighbors, and let them die. I am Jehovah.

Do not hate your brothers in your heart, but rather criticize your neighbors, so that you do not bear the burden of sin on them.

Do not seek revenge or blame your own people, but love others as yourself. I am Jehovah.

You must abide by my laws. Do not mix your livestock with any other species, do not mix your land with two different materials, and do not make clothes with two different materials to put on your body.

If a maid betrothed her husband and has not yet been redeemed and released, and a person engages in sexual intercourse with her, the two will be punished, but they will not be put to death, because the maid has not yet been free.

That person is to bring a ram as a guilt offering to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before the Lord.

The priest shall redeem his sins before the Lord with the sheep of the guilt offering, and his sins shall be forgiven.

When you come to the land of Canaan, plant all kinds of trees that bear fruit, and make the fruit as uncircumcised. For three years, you shall not eat these fruits as uncircumcised.

But all the fruits of the fourth year shall be holy, to praise the Lord.

In the fifth year, you shall eat the fruit of that tree, so that the tree may bear more fruit for you. I am the Lord your God.

You shall not eat anything with blood, nor use magic, nor observe signs.

The area around the head should not be shaved, and the area around the beard should not be damaged.

Do not cut the body of a dead person with a knife, nor do you tattoo patterns on the body. I am Jehovah.

Do not insult your daughter, making her a prostitute, or the people of the earth will turn to fornication, and the earth will be filled with great evil.

Keep my Sabbath and honor my sanctuary. I am Jehovah.

Do not lean towards those who practice ghosts and witchcraft, do not ask them questions, so that they may be defiled. I am the Lord your God.

Stand up in front of the white haired, respect the elderly, and fear your God. I am Jehovah.

If an outsider cohabits with you in your country, do not bully him.

Look at the strangers who are living with you like the locals, and love them like yourself, because you have also been sojourners in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Do not do unrighteousness in your judgment, even in the ruler, scale, ascent, and measure.

To use a fair balance, a fair legal weight, a fair lifting bucket, and a fair scale. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

You must keep and follow all my laws and regulations. I am Jehovah.
