He Xia Shu_Chapter 2

You shall call your brother Ami and your sisters Luhama.

You must argue greatly with your mother, because she is not my wife and I am not her husband. Ask her to remove the lewd image on her face and the lewd expression on her chest.

Lest I strip her clothes and make her naked, just like when she was born, and make her like a wilderness, like a dry land, dying of thirst.

I will not have mercy on her children, for they were born out of fornication.

Their mother committed fornication, and their mother who was pregnant did shameful things, because she said, I will follow my beloved, and my bread, water, wool, linen, oil, and wine are all given by them.

Therefore, I will block her path with thorns, build walls to block her, so that she cannot find her way.

I will also destroy her vineyards and fig trees, which she said, This is the reward that my beloved has given me. I will make these trees desolate, and they will be eaten by the beasts of the field.

I will punish her for burning incense to the Baals all day long. At that time, she wore earrings and other decorations, followed her beloved, but forgot me. This is what the Lord has said.

Later on, I will persuade her and bring her to the wilderness to speak comforting words to her.

She came out from there. I will give her a vineyard, and I will give her the valley of Achor as a door of hope. There she will sing, just like in her youth, just like when she came up from the land of Egypt.

On that day, declares the Lord, you will call me Ish (meaning my husband) and no longer Baal (meaning my lord).

For I will remove the names of the Baals from the mouth of my people, and they will no longer be mentioned.

On that day, I will make a covenant for my people, with the beasts of the field, with the birds of the air, and with the insects of the earth. And he will break the bow and sword in the land, cease the war, and make them lie down in peace.

I will betroth you as my wife forever, with righteousness, fairness, love, and compassion.

And I will betroth you to me in truth, and you will know me, the Lord.

And the Lord said, On that day I will answer, I will answer the heavens, and the heavens will answer the earth.

The earth will give ear to grain, new wine, and oil, and these will give ear to the people of Jezreel (which means God planted it).

I will plant her in this land, and for those who have not received mercy, I will show mercy. For those who are not my people, I will say to them, You are my people, and they will say, You are my God.
