Deuteronomy_Chapter 19

When the Lord your God cut off the people of the nations, the Lord your God also gave you …

When the Lord your God cut off the people of the nations, the Lord your God also gave you their land, and you continued to live in their cities and houses,

You shall divide three cities in the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance.

Divide the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance into three parts. Prepare a road so that anyone who accidentally kills someone can escape there.

The rule is that anyone who accidentally kills someone can survive by escaping there. Anyone who has no hatred or intention to kill someone,

Just like a man who goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut down trees, and with an axe in his hand, he intends to cut down the trees, but unexpectedly, the axe takes off its handle and falls on his neighbor, causing him to die. This man escapes to one of those cities and can survive,

Lest those who seek revenge with blood pursue him with fiery hearts, and because the journey is far, they will catch up with him and kill him. Actually, he doesn’t deserve to die because he has no hatred towards the killed Su.

So I command you to divide three cities.

If the Lord your God expands your territory as he swore to your ancestors, and gives you all the land he promised to give to your ancestors,

If you keep and do all these commandments that I command you today, love the Lord your God, and always walk in his ways, then you shall add three more cities beyond these three,

So that the blood of innocent people may not fall on the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance, and the sin of shedding blood will be on you.

If anyone hates his neighbor and lies in ambush, killing him to the point of death, and flees to one of these cities,

The elders of this city shall send someone to bring him out from there and deliver him into the hands of the avenger of blood, and put him to death.

Do not spare him, but take away the sin of shedding innocent blood from Israel, so that you may be blessed.

In the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance, do not move your neighbor’s territory, as it was determined by your ancestors.

No matter what crime a person commits or what evil they do, they shall not bear witness by the mouth of one person, but rather by the mouth of two or three people before a judgment can be made.

If a wicked witness arises to witness someone’s wrongdoing,

These two litigants shall stand before the Lord, and before the priests and judges at that time,

The judge must investigate carefully, and if he sees that the witness is indeed a false witness who falsely testified against his brother,

You must treat him like the brothers he wants to treat. So, eliminate that evil from among you.

Others will be afraid when they hear it, and they will not dare to do such evil among you again.

You should not spare your eyes, you should pay for your life with your eyes, your eyes with your teeth with your teeth, your hands with your hands, and your feet with your feet.
